The operator chased the stun grenade into the dungeon the moment it exploded; and with his assault rifle roaring in full-automatic he started handing out full-metal-jacket facials.
The confused gaggle of remaining undead minions in his path stiffened like boards and collapsed to the dusty floor by the time their necromantic puppet-master worked up a spell and flung a withering array of light back at the operator. The human dove to one side and slid into cover behind one of the chamber’s many large stone coffins as the necromancer’s deadly retort stitched the stone at his heels.
Righting himself and leaning away from another volley of magical blasts, the operator checked his rifle magazine, then quickly reloaded, hearing the necromancer’s familiar mad cackle somewhere deeper in the lair.
The towering lord of evil stood on a raised dais in the centre of the subterranean chamber, surrounded by ancient glyphs that glowed with eldritch light. On the edge of the platform, shackled with her arms above her head was an anthro vixen, a princess if her ornate tiara, fashionable dress and glass shoes were anything to go by.
“I am already beyond you, puny mortal,” the necromancer hissed. “Soon I’ll be above this plain of existence. An everlasting god! Our long running rivalry comes to an end now as I become eternal life incarna-…”
The operator rolled out of cover and let loose a single shot from his assault rifle. The bullet passed through the momentarily distracted necromancer’s skull like the original bad idea that led him down this path in the first place. His head snapped to one side with the force of the impact before the red light in his hollow eyes faded and his emaciated body collapsed to the dais, the ritualistic glow of the dungeon around them bleaching in turn.
Running up, the operator methodically slid his weapon’s fire selector into the next setting and systematically pumped the remaining rounds into the knotted remains of the necromancer – just to be sure. Eventually he straightened up and gave the stunned princess a broad grin.
“That was pretty ninja. Are you alright?”
“I’m fine,” the bewildered vixen said before nodding at the necromancer’s remains. “But that battle was a little anti-climactic don’t you think?” The operator shrugged as he stowed his assault rifle and moved closer to try and remove her restraints.
“Meh. Epic battles between long-time rivals with far removed alignments tend to get tedious real quick. I like things simple. How about we get you down from there?”
Giving an upset scoff at his nonchalant dismissal of that short and unsatisfying battle, the vixen wrapped her legs about the operator and held him tightly in place between her thighs. Hanging from the chains, she kept the operator’s bewildered face close to hers as she seethed through gritted teeth:
“Now you listen here, mister ‘dashing-knight-in-battle-rattle!’ I’ve been kidnapped, trussed up and reduced to the role of damsel in distress, ready to be rescued by a handsome hero! This right here is pretty much all a princess can aspire to now-and-days! So, I’m not leaving this dungeon ‘till I get some kind of climax!”
