Blaming the media for being biased and horrible is pissing me off, a journal that was meant to help people feel better royally pissed me off because "lol MSM". Well, if you think that, you're in for a shock: Media is part of the foundation of democracy. By ignoring the balanced media and going to these fringe websites, you are remaining an uninformed citizen. Knowing what's going on and what's at stake is very important, and even though I will admit the media did feed a narrative, it still pisses me off that people want to demonize. Guess what? Ignore the media, next thing you know you have no rights because you didn't know the government was taking them away. Do we want to live in a country like Russia or China where the media is controlled by the government to brainwash citizens and hide their tracks, or do we want a free media that reports things fairly and calls the government out on bullshit? I don't think people fully understand the role of the media in our society, and it's about time people learned.
