That should probably be amended. I honestly can't think of a reason that a person should be muted rather than banned. Going from personal impressions, it makes it seem like you're making an example of the person rather than removing them. Being pilloried vs. exiled. They're both punishments, but one is definitely more of a spectacle.

Probably the same one; they come and they go and are pretty interchangeable when you get right to it.. This one's white knights are slightly more tenacious than usual, but they'll get distracted by the next shiny thing soon enough.

Howdy, 'coonbutt. Gonna do a bit of a wall o' text and rant a little on here.
I'm of multiple sides on all of this, on the one hand, if someone wants to post something, art, story, journal, and someone takes offense to it and posts comments on it, well, they get what they deserve if said person replies, on the other hand, leaving nasty replies on someone else's posts is silly, if you don't like it, don't look at it.
_Destructive_ criticisms never helped any artist, and simply tends to galvanize someone's opinion, and cries of 'offensive to me' are, for the most part, on the person being offended if they're the one looking, instead of having it forced on them, example being looking through someone's art portfolio after having a warning about the content, vs having to see it spray-painted all over downtown.
Finally, we come down to this; Inkbunny is not a _public_ forum, it is not provided by society at large, it is run by a few people who give of their time and money and sanity to operate and police this art site. We all agree to follow the rules when we come here, and if you break the rules, well, all you have to blame is yourself. Yes, each of the administrators of the site have their own personal biases, and sometimes things get out of hand, but in the end we're all people, we all make mistakes, especially in emotionally charged situations.
We're all furries here, we're a huge and diverse group of people, looked down on by most of the other fandoms and often by the general public(when they think of us at all), the only amazing part is that the levels of drama and trolling we do to each other is the worst we've really seen. We're all furries, togetherness through diversity, I love you all, and hope you all can try and do the same with each other, even during disagreements.
We're all real people, this isn't just text on a screen, this isn't written by an AI for your amusement, each and every person you interact with online is someone else, with a life that's often as weird and complex as your own.
