Try new stuff that you never done before, including stuff you may feel nervous or uninterested in trying or that seem hard, I find when i draw stuff that is a complete different from what I normally do, it helps even my regular art improve, like "learning to see from a new perspective" type deal. an example could be a portrait, or, like, practices they do in art school like skull or proportion studies or a page of figure drawings or somethin'. Could also do more fun stuff like new styles, new shading techniques, try to mimic other artist's styles, try to challenge urself, etc.
Also sometimes taking a break from art for a while can help me improve, personally. No idea why tbh, i guess it's either the brain subconsciously thinking over stuff during the break without the restrait of having to actually put it on paper, could also be because just having more confidence when I decide to draw again because over the break i forget all the dozens of redraws I end up doing to make something look right, lol. this i think would probably also help prevent art from looking all the same since drawing a lot of pictures, especially of similar topic/style, can cause one to get comfortable with a few techniques or hand motions that is just repeated, and once you take a break you forget those and can result in the picture looking a lot different and like i said before, trying different stuff helps improve. This repetition can also be halted by trying new drawing techniques tho as well.
Also which would kinda be related to the break, looking at art, media, real life, observing is a very important part of improving, like browsing other people's art and taking a walk in an area with a lot to look at, watching movies, etc.
