Hmmm...

by
I think one of the reasons I tend to get burnt out on art/not finish things is because it takes me just too darn long for me to become satisfied with anything I'm working on.

I started actually keeping track of the time that I actually spend working on drawings, and I'm already past 9 hours (not counting breaks or anything) on something before I even properly get to the coloring/shading phase (and the coloring/shading is the hard part :S).

I'm not sure if anyone will read this, but I'm curious if anyone maybe has any advice that might help someone like me? Or is that much time normal for just a sketch and lines?

The problem is that everyone works differently. We can give you advice, but in the end, you have to draw the way you LIKE drawing...
Is pointless if I tell you how I draw, it simply may not work for you~
But I always say... perfectionism kills artists =w=

Hmm, yeah... I suppose maybe you're right. I guess I just have to keep working on my own mentality when it comes to this stuff.

Another part of it might be that I just haven't found out how I like drawing... maybe once I do though, I'll be able to do things a bit faster and enjoy it more.

Thank you very much for your input! :3

Dude, when you need to talk, hit me up. I'm good at listening and saying dumb shit that helps people :3

And in any case, you have us watching you for a reason. You may be a hard critic on your stuff, but we surely like it!! :3

Ah okay, thank you, I will keep that in mind! (even though I'll probably be too afraid of bothering you :p)

I very much appreciate the kindness, it means a lot, especially since I've been a bit discouraged lately. <3
