Moving Sucks (GoFundMe)

After almost 6 months of working and packing and trying we FINALLY have our house under contract and a down payment on a different house. It's only slightly larger and more out-of-town but in a better school district and with an area to try convert to a work office later down the road.

However, since the staging and bidding and such of the current project has taken a toll on our saving (and the work time to refill those savings) we've set up a GoFundMe to try to cover a small part of the moving cost. It would be profoundly appreciated if anyone could drop a $1 or two there to help out.

Once we're situated (hopefully mid-next month) I'll be able to try to catch up on past due stuff and shortly after that start taking on new commissions/projects. Thanks for reading this and big thanks for the patience while we get things figured out. As always, we've got the streams going Monday, Tuesday and Thursday  on Picarto, so fee free to check those out. Thanks again for the continued support.
Hand in there, stay safe and healthy and keep on keeping on.

Now, back to the drawing board.

Can't be easy with the virus. We barely managed to sell our house before the first lockdown this year.

It's a mixed bag. It's definitely a sellers market and houses are getting picked up left and right, not to mention that our state really didn't have a mandated shut-down, just a voluntary one. Our first realator didn't get any solid offers for almost 3 months, but once we got under our second realtor, we had a good offer within 5 days. So it really does matter who does the selling for you.

Yeah, buying a home sucks - we put in our bid with the bank for a short sale (which are supposed to move fast) in May and it wasn't actually resolved until January - ended up 'renting' from the owner for a couple of months as our apartment lease expired in September.

Gratz!

Thanks for the gratz.
We had looked at renting for a while, but with 2 kids and all the stuff, moving into one temp house for a few months and then moving again would have been a mental and financial stress we couldn't afford.
Still, would have made the closing day a bit easier. XP
