Update on how Patreon is going…

Now let me be candid and ask how I could get more people to support me on Patreon. I’m grateful for my current patrons, but right now the kind of money I get from Patreon is “pays for my internet bill every 3 months, and nothing more”.

I’m genuinely wondering what more I can do that would be within my reach.

If possible, use subscribestar as well. I hate patreon, but I love your art.

As for what would increase your subscribers overall, it would have to be something that holds people's interest. Look at the big furry artist earners. Their art is consistent, they have big projects in the work like comics or games (usually visual novels), and uhhh the last one I was gonna say slipped my mind because I'm tired.

If you're serious about upping subscribers, treat it like a business. Look at what others are doing, and ask yourself how you can emulate that, or do it better, without sacrificing your individual flair, or overburdening yourself with too much work.

See, the thing is, I’m stuck with Patreon due to them being the only service that uses a payment provider that covers my country. SubscribeStar uses Stripe and PayPal, the two standard providers, which everyone assumes cover the entire world… but they don’t. Neither Stripe nor PayPal covers payments to Madagascar, so that excludes any service that relies only on either or both of them (e.g. SubscribeStar, Gumroad, etc.).

That's a shame. I'll still consider supporting you, because I do use Patreon (reluctantly).
