EF26. Or: How i fell in love with the fandom (again)

The last few days were the most fun i've had in a looong while. Seeing this awesome community come together at eurofurence has left me with a feeling of pride and joy. Why? because it gives me a sense of belonging that i haven't felt in a long time.

When i arrived at the con, i felt a little alone, as i had no one with me to share the experience. But it didn't take long for me to realize that there are no strangers in this community, just friends you don't know yet.

. Spending time with you guys has been a great pleasure. These evenings felt a lot better than a lot of my life before. I am used to spend time with friends and family, always wearing the mask of the well behaved citizen. With you, i felt like finally dropping that (rather heavy) mask, being able to be myself.

As i don't really have a good way around words, they can hardly explain the emotions i went through the past few days. But rest assured that all of them were extremely positive.

So here again to all who met me and showed me the wonderfulness of this community that i had almost forgotten: Thank you for the great time! I love all of you and am looking forward to seeing you all again.

p.s.: I kinda feel the need to explain my name^^

So Locutus is taken from Star Trek (Locutus of Borg, the unfortunate transformation of cpt. Picard). I've chosen him because his name is latin, roughly translating to "the speaker" (wiktionary). This fits me pretty well, because i only know two modes: not speaking for hours, or chewing your ear off non-stop. It also fits because this community has slowly assimilated me into a wonderful collective...ofc in a way more positive way than the borg, so the analogy might be a bit far fetched :3
