You know, I was worried about that as well, but they have a "mute" option to hide creators without blocking them, and after about 20 minutes of cleanup on my timeline I've narrowed it down to almost entirely furs. It has been rather nice so far, I think I'd definitely recommend it.

Yeah, instance-wide blocks are weird. I don't block THEM, so I can see stuff that gets reposted from meow from accounts I do watch, but if I try to follow an account there, the request will get sent to limbo (even if the user doesn't enable follow requests).
...and the reason I got called out publicly and put on a few block lists was because I promoted a baraag artist. lol. So yeah. Zero regrets. I've done it again since and will continue to do it.
