Some advice please?

Can someone give me some advices on Visual novels? Like, what things I have to consider and such?
I have Ren'Py installed and going through the tutorial and looks... Kinda complicated and honestly, stressed me a little.
I'm focusing on the story and the characters at the moment, already have 2 of them designed and draw, right now working the remaining 3 before writing down the story

I've written some graphic stories, but without being aware of any set protocol. I just let creating the story flow naturally.

True, but to be honest... It very overwhelming start a project like this, I have some of the story already written, I guess is more the technical/use part of Ren'Py that makes me feel anxious, gotta make sure I have material for it like backgrounds, sounds, music and such

The most important part of a visual novel is the story. Technically you could just have a text box and a very good story with a next button and have a visual novel. everything else should come later. Focus on getting the story written out and done and then put all of it into your engine. Once you can "play" through it everything else will come naturally.

the portraits and backgrounds will come once you know the characters and locations youll need from your story.

As for the stress thats normal. the best thing i can say is, if your of an artist mind and not a coder mind then dont try to plan everything out. Let the story just come out.

Good luck!
(sorry i cant help in the audio department, i know shit all about making music ^^;)

Thank you so much by the advice X3 well for the characters and background images.. I have it already covered, the story is still going but slow because wanna make a good one.

The music, I'll leave that to the end, once I have everything ready to start coding.

It's going to be quite interesting to do as project, so I wanna take my time with it but not too much time, mostly because I'm a procrastinator XD
