Account update/Name  Change

So while I wait on support to get back to me on things, it came to my attention that the name I'd chosen was really hurting a lot of butts. >.> Can't say I'm use to that. Lil 2 inch squirrel weener isn't normally the best tool for making people butt hurt but I done did dood it in this case! :D

Jokes aside; yes I realize there is a lot of contention around the idea of Ai-Adoptables. And since people don't understand I'm going to still be spending 6-12 hours per adoptable writing a backstory to go with my adopts and just see the words "AI" and "Adoptable" together and spin out of control; I decided to change my account name to AIdorable. I wanted to make sure people understood that this account is for AI art. They can blacklist/block me that way and it saves us both bad interactions.

As for the way I'm going to handle this account. I'm going to post no more than 2 times a day as a personal rule. I in no way want to compete with other artists who make a living with this as a profession. I'm not here to 'steal work' from people. I'm here to have fun and share what I love.

I will also likely start including "AI" in the thumbnails and the titles of all my work from now on too. I want 0 ambiguity in the fact I'm not a real artist. I know that, and I'm not pretending otherwise. The only artistic 'talent' I have is a crappy ability... what do they call it.... writing? Iuuno' some ancient Sumerian thing that really should have been replaced long ago. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Same with hieroglyphs.

I will never take commissions.
Not only is it potentially very hard to do with AI based on some factors, it really is something I don't want to take from artists.

That said; if you have a thing you don't see enough of, a theme, or maybe a species, or some combo of things, feel free to comment/shout/pm your ideas! I cant promise I'll post it but if it interests me I'll gen them up and dish them out. ^^

Now on the topic of time. People seem to think "Ai = push button get instant art" and while that /can/ be true its not how good Ai makers operate. I spend HOURS tweaking, in painting, and adjusting every picture I post. Difference between me and a true artist is that they spend 6+ hours working on one picture and know they will get the exact result they need in the end. Me? I can spend that same time and only get things 'close-nuf'. Just because it can mean instant art does not mean that's the case for all art. I have some personal standards I plan to keep.

Heartfelt message to artists and the Anti-Ai crowd:

If you're not a fan of AI, I get it. You're likely worried about your job security as an artist. Or likely pissed about how the training data was used without the consent of the artists. I do understand. And I really am sympathetic. I want to see all artists succeed.

So please listen to me when I say; I strongly suggest you try it yourself as an artist. Use it like the tool it is. Those who fight progress, most often lose... And I don't want to see artists be hurt because they where too scared to adapt and adopt new tools. I fear that may be the future here.

Every revolutionary tool tends to leave the previous ones in the dust. Look at what happened to news paper companies after television, and then television after the internet came around. Progress is like time, uncaring, and unwavering. Don't get lost in fear. You need to dive in and jump on the wave and ride it as far as you can before in time it too comes crashing down. Otherwise the wave you're riding now will come crashing down with you on it. No one wants that. Least of all me.

Artists, I really do want you all to succeed. I've been such a huge lover of art since I was a child, but my shaky hands are incapable of making it. That's why I do AI art. Not because I hate artists, but because I always wanted to be one of you and I have a chance now.

Do I expect you to instantly like it, or change your opinion over reading one random internet loser's thoughts?

No. That'd be foolish.

But I do hope that you take this most humble of opinions and try to test it yourself to see if it holds water.

If I'm wrong; then you have nothing to fear. Nothing to lose.

If I'm right... you could lose out on things. And that's my fear for you all.

It’s very interesting to see someone both recognize that AI has metaphorically let the genie out of the bottle in terms of artistic creation but also aware of the wider perception and consequences. It’s even more rare to act in a principled manner, in accordance with those realizations. I think you’ve got a rather healthy mindset when it comes to mantling responsibility. Great work!

Everything worth doing is worth doing right. We are all on a journey together and its best if we find a way to help each other out. One step closer to that startreky vision of the future full of peace and equality that way at least. XD As pie in the sky hopeful as that is to consider.
Thanks~ ♥

I do find the concept you're presenting quite interesting.  Often times it's the back story and the world building that can stump many folks even after they have an adopted image.  Building that up with or with out the associated imagery is something i think could really be an interesting service to fill.  There's not a lot of people putting out story slices and character arcs which makes this whole thing catch my interested quite a bit.  I'm also really impressed with how you're going about it to say the least.  SO easy for things to become simple belligerence on either side of any sort of disagreement.

I'd hoped people would find it entertaining. I'd always been somewhat miffed that writers lack anything like the 'adoptable' of visual artists. I was, and still am, hoping that Ai art can help bridge this gap in the arts and offer people like me the chance to actually make a little money doing what they love.

And thank you for the complement.~ ♥ Yes people are easy to anger but I'm a believer in killing with kindness and that if we all take things with a more compassionate tone everyone wins more often.
