Iirc they can get past 2FA by stealing session data (website just thinks you're already logged in and always have been so no need to re-auth your 2FA).
Doesn't matter, it somehow bypasses 2fa from what I read.
It steals your Token, which comes before anything else. (The Token is sent from discord to your PC to make sure that it's your system. It's like if someone was able to steal your token for an arcade game before the machine could even register it, or do any anti-theft measures.)

Problem is, once they steal your account. They immediately change your emails and passwords for another, pretty much tying your email to a new account that you can't access.

But seriously, my wife's computer got compromised and it was no fun, it turned into a battle of how many accounts we could lock out but they had a crew of people tapping into all of her accounts, so it's wack-a-mole of locking accounts. It sounds like a bot might of highjacked your discord, You have to be so careful of those social engineering messages you get from discord bots x^x
