I have Good News "Update"

Recently
I been fixing up my electronics lab. Trying to make it more clean, organized, and safe. I got into a bit of an argument with my mother over how I needed receptacles grounded. We came to a compromise to get things estimated on those being fixed. I also looked up the NEC number on this for the 2017 book. This falls under 406.4(D)(2). Specifically b where you can just put a label on what receptacles do-not have a ground.

I used a tester to make sure what items I had needing ground had the appropriate earth ground. Then I put what ever did not need it to the ones without. Had to move stuff around, but I managed to ensure I had surge bars grounded. Plus I took what ever I could of my equipment had the amp ratings on a list. Luckily the only items without this "Including their manual" arg! This was just my soldering area. Nice thing is I am only using a few items. Typically a receptacle is rated 12amp at minimum.

Which means I had to grab a long cable to connect my laptop and play area. I have a downstairs kitchen in one room over from my lab. After testing a few I was relieved to see those were grounded. I have ceiling tiles in my basement which means I can cable tie thick extension cables above me. Which is what I am planning to do until I can afford to put in more grounded outlets. Basically this house is rent until I inherit it from my parents. Who live an hour away from me. In a nutshell this is part of their business. Renting out houses.

What does this mean?
It means I am very positive to getting a very minimal part of the dulcimer project done. At least to bring it to a sort of mute point till spring. I been learning a lot from my mentors upon transformers. Mostly safety stuff, but also how power supplies are put together in amplifiers.

So, I hope to come to a stopping point for wood work and then begin wiring. Add that I really need to start doing the paint job soon. I have to have the sides carved down and rounded. Via the underside outer edge rounded. If I can get this done and at minimum 2 under-side bridges glued in I can minimize. Basically make removable parts on warmer days.

Here is the catch though. I realize holidays are coming as well. I have to keep my mental self solid. We had a few issues at the store which put me under a little pressure. I have perhaps the greatest grocerymen for a team. However, we see some really pathetic people come in and just be jerks. Either playing chicken with their cars or chewing out our cashiers/managers. When I say playing chicken I mean doing everything they can to get the parking they want and getting out/through the parking lot as they desire to. Which makes things dangerous for us workers and the other customers.

I can't go into details for obvious reasons, but I will say this makes things very stressful for me at times. I do apologize for using this as an excuse of my absence from my projects. It should not be so easy to cause me to crack. Yet, again I am just trying to be real here.
