My Little Ponies gen.5 finally starts to be good?

Ok, after solving some family issues (situation improved/back to somekind normality), here a little journal about my viewpoint-opinion on the current state of MLP generation Five.

To the ones who are still wary... you've good reasons. The movie itself in my opinion is very good, but the Netflix series inevitably carried issues. Even ignoring the dramatic drop of quality in 3d animation, the core problem with the series it's the LACK of complexity and personal growth/conflicts of the characters of MLP-FiM. In particular: 1)Sunny after a great start in the movie (not to mention the simple fact that i loved to have an earth pony as leader) remains somewhat stuck... she worry and appears to lead, but honestly it's far from being so meaningful and impactful as i hoped for, leaving much of the best reasoning to Zipp. 2) Zipp is honestly the main character i save, being the the smartest and the one who serious reason and try to devise plans or solutions. 3) Pipp doesn't take the "mantle" of Rarity, and so far it's just an unbearable "idol" sharing none of the more complex nature of Rarity. 4) Izzy HAS the potentiality to differentiate from Pinkie Pie (leaning on a more practical/useful nature), but ... she just doesn't take off. 5) Hitch is so-far a massive disappointment, to have for the first time a MALE pony included in the main cast and have zero occasions to shy or develop chances of different viewpoints, he's mostly over-used for comic-relief even more than Izzy.
The series itself (split in small "chapters" of few episodes each) introduce a main villain... who is honestly the most flat and boring villain they could ever make-up! A stereotypical self-absorbed egomaniac tyrant who spent most of her time making hysterical laughs. The toddler-dragon (no, not... "baby" dragon please) Sparky is equally unbearable and essentially play as extra comic relief for Hitch.
Definitely better, and likely the most intriguing and well-built character of the show alongside Zipp, is Misty. Definitely spoiler if you've not watched it, but her story and development is back to the root of MLP

I almost lost hope when honestly with the latest "Chapter 6" things start to improve!
There were signs of improvments also in the previous chapter and they ended making the main villain more threatening-dangerous (wise move because FINALLY we can take her seriously), adding a good amount of lore-explains and one big point turning point of the plot with the exploration/expansions on lands beyond equestria and the return of one significant Gen4 character!

Hopefully the show will start sticking to this path, introducing (or re-introducing) old-new species and creatures and adds more villains with their own different backstory.
