Smaller Resolution?

Hey there everybody!
I have a question and hope I`ll get as much Response back as Possible from you! 😉

Do you think the Resolution of my Pictures are too high?
I mean.. they take Time to load fully...

Would you wish them to be smaller?

Remember, Smaller also means less quality.
The Original Resolution is most of the Time about 5-6 Times the Size. 😆
Which also means, more Details. But way too high to Uplaod them on any Plattform.

What do you Guys think about it?

I wouldn't make it any smaller. Most viewers have at least a Full HD 1920p-sized display now (1366x768 is down to 5%) so they can benefit from at least a 2K image, and some images justify higher detail. Inkbunny offers reduced-size versions of 920px and 300px anyway for people who want that. We scale down in a way that preserves quality as much as possible. We also have caches around the world to try to provide the best performance (although some of them do not host the original-sized files).

While large PNGs may take a long time to upload, we have a good idea of how to improve that - currently the process is single-threaded but we may be able to switch to software that can use all four cores (or even eight threads) of our main server.

You've got a point! 😅 Loading times can be a bit much, and some folks ain't into the waiting game. 😆
Totally slipped my mind that Inkbunny's got a fix for that.
