Okay. Hi, everyone!
It's been a while since I made a journal. I thought I'd update you all with things that have been happening in my life recently.
If you didn't already know, I got a job! It's been really fun work, and I've been there for about 7 months and in that time I already got a promotion! With this promotion, my hours are changing to four 10-hour days instead of five 8-hour days, meaning I'll have 3 days off!! That's awesome! I also get a pay increase which I'm not gonna complain about haha.
However, with this new job, and the subsequent promotion, my time and energy to do art will be and already has been greatly diminished. I get home and am so tired that I can barely look at the work I have lined up. There are days that I can get work done, but I know if I force myself to do it when I don't have the drive, it won't be my best work. All that together means that my workflow has slowed as well.
Finally, I am still doing commissions, and updated my prices for 2024 as well, which I need to post. Other than that work, I am working on two projects, one of which you all know as my A God's Wants comic. Yes, the second half IS COMING. The other project has been being worked on for a while and is coming along nicely, and it's another comic, commissioned by a now friend of mine, but I can't give a date when that will be ready, as my approach to this changed how I approach making comics in general.
So, to recap, I got a new job and a promotion with longer hours, cutting down on my art time, but I'm still working through commissions and two comic projects, and I've updated my prices for this year.
