Schedule for 2024/commission info going forward

I figured it would be prudent to post this just so people have an easy reference for my plans for this year!

Brief preamble - I was on the path to burnout for a few years and last year it really came to a head. Im currently still recovering from that and therefore am taking commissions on very slowly this year. Like only a couple a month if I can help it. Especially the larger sequences which, you can probably tell, take a lot of brain power to do (though they are my favorite things to do for sure). This is why commission openings have not been public in quite some time.

---------------

SO that being said, I have some plans. I am being more serious about making things for passive income, and will be adding some new prints and products to my store this year. I want to do some more dakis, acrylic charms/standees, lots more prints, etc.

I will also likely be doing sequence auctions this summer, the higher the price the more poses I will be able to add (up to a point, Im not immortal xD). For now Im taking it slow, I will reach out to people periodically, privately if youve shown interest in getting a commission and I have a slot available, especially my long time clients, but I am always excited to work with new people, so there will be space for everyone. Im not doing the commission form for a while, though.

This is my passion, I keep coming back to it because it feels like a niche I belong in. No matter how much merch I make I know Ill always want to keep doing personalized work for people, at least as long as my body lets me. But I have to make sure I pace myself.

No one has had an issues with this so far and Im not posting this because of any backlash Ive gotten, I just wanted to be transparent. It never bothers me to receive questions in my dms, ya'll are always so kind and supportive. I apologize for being slow to answer sometimes.

-------
I dont have a patreon or ko-fi or anything, so rly the only way to support me outside of commissions is my shop right now, but every order is exciting and helpful.

My roommate and I share the storefront/split profits so youll see some of my stuff and some of their stuff, but if youd like to take a look and buy a sticker pack or shadow daki or something that would be awesome, either way I appreciate that you stick around and find my stuff enjoyable!

I think the shop and commishs are the best way to go for income. Pateron is actively purging and there's no end of trolls lurking about to report any nsfw artists they can and doubly so on cub. Ko-fi and the others are 'safe' for now, but it is a terrible mistake trusting that they won't one day start purging and closing accounts. If the main payment providers take notice, none is safe.

That's the important thing to remember. No matter where you are in the world, if Visa, Mastercard and Discover get wind of it, it is going down. The next stop is the major and middle banks who certainly are taking notice. Pornhub being terrible opened the door and the effects will be felt for years.

Because Ive been doing comms for 2 decades now, and primarily being a porn artist for over 10 of those years, Ive unfortunately had to pay attention to this shit for a while and it blows, its getting worse RAPIDLY, pornhub was the like, 10th dead canary in the coalmine for me. I understand the "reasons" but I also am like. But dont  you realize how much money there is to be made in porn XD ESPECIALLY when its not photos or videos of real people? But ppl love being anti-porn too much, its such a hot button issue...

Funny enough, I actually HAD a ko-fi at one point, one where I didnt post ANY nsfw directly on, I only took donations, and a couple weeks in I got banned with no warning, contacted them and got ghosted for over a year, finally got a reply that basically said 'remove all nsfw on ur ko-fi and ur good to go' but..there WAS nothing nsfw on my ko-fi, I didnt POST on my ko-fi. Someone reported to ko-fi that I drew nsfw on twitter (back when it was allowed), and THAT got me banned. So personally I feel like ko-fi is a shit company/website and wouldnt trust them at all. They punish you for off-site activity e_e;

I dont even like listing my paypal publicly Just In Case...its really sad.

Porn making insane loads of money is I think the only reason Pornhub (And it's parent) are even still around, even with no real way for non models to throw money directly into their accounts. The late 90's and 00's were a time when porn was pretty much unstoppable on the net, because the anti-porn people tried like hell and basically every judge and so on laughed them out of the court room, so they've been biding their time for one and waiting.

I know as a artist, you are privy to all of this, but it's fucking infuriating that instead of listening to the people who had their rapes and revenge porn buzzing around the site, PH went "Nah, we can't hear you over the money." which leads us to this current state of affairs. The trolls have always been a problem but they are bolder, sneakier and love seeing creatives who rely on Pateron and it's ilk get their accounts nuked and the money gone. I knew this would be a problem back when Pateron for whatever reason listed by default how much money a creative was seeing each month.

Porn will never go away, but if they make it 100x harder to be able to pay the people making it, it's going to make life hell for those people. I remember the bullshit threads about trolls ranting how an artist makes more then they do in a half year without realizing that art is really, really fucking hard and not something most can just flip a switch and decide. Furry has always had a problem with how it treats artists, switching between lauding them and at the same time trying to run them out of town because they draw a topic that people want and will pay for. I really don't know how you do it myself.

You've taken steps to protect yourself and that's good. And Inkbunny's backers and admins seem to be ready should things move to the court room, which is more than I can say for almost every other art and writing site. I wouldn't even trust Fanbox even with cenoring.

I’m definitely interested in sketch pages and sequential work so I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for auctions and commission openings. (Mainly pages of my characters engaging in foreplay that leads to them getting knotted/tied. Most of my OCs are canine.)
