New Zealand declares wars on Mustelids!
by
CuriousFerret
New Zealand goverment has spent $300,000, to kill a single stout.
This is only the latest of offenses to eradicate the invasive mustelid species like weasels and ferrets.
While I do treasure my fellow weird oddities like the flightless parrot, I can not let's this targeted campaign stand.
If God didn't want such endangered species to be victim of predation, he would have allowed them the gift of flight.
Never forget my fellow mustelids.
We maybe the tiniest of predators, but we are mighty predators that never back down.
Much like our Emu brethern over came the Australians attempted genocide, we carpet sharks and furry noodles will never surrender!

They fail to understand what good swimers we are.
Their island fortress can not stand.
Or how fast we procreate.

Cuteness always is most potent in tiny packages.

With attrition rates per engagement like this, I doubt they'll last long.

Used to be better. Strictly speaking this was an unusual event, that place is very well fenced off.
Ironically, they brought in stoats to kill ships rats that were attacking birds and lizards, but they also went them as they were easier prey.

I jest.
Mostly.
Yeah, stouts and weasels in particular will hunt for the thrill of it.
Tenacious little buggers.

And are with Australian Possums, Goats and Pigs our worst.
Deer are ok if the numbers are balanced as with Thar and Chamois to a degree, the latter are still bad.
