suggested that I used bones instead of shape keys. I did some research, but Blender users are undecided over what is better and most seem to go with whatever works best on each specific situation. So I tried to use both. There's a lot of room for improvement, but I'll do better next time. I used bones for Libuše's individual lips and mouth corners, and shape keys for her brow, eyelids and cheeks. Behold the result.

I know you what you mean by 'face rig' here, but for a moment I thought you'd made a Libuse model for https://facerig.com/ which would be awesome. (But apparently a lot of work, since very few fan models have popped up.)

Which one took more time?

I use http://blog.machinimatrix.org/ Avastar for face rigging.

Probably bones, since they require vertex weighting while shape keys just need a few vertices adjusted.

you mean verticies need a whole clone?

It is solely dependent on what you enjoy using and what works best for you. I've been doing models and textures a long time, and I have seen many many different ways of doing the exact same task, but all of those ways will work and get the exact same result. So find your place and work within your means until you can break out and create your own methods.

That sounds very reasonable. Thanks for your advice!
