Commission for bloodgod245

Description from bloodgod245:
Weyland-Yutani wanted to create the perfect (in their eyes) Xenomorph. What they got was indeed the perfect Xenomorph and much much more. The king, or *project 747* as they called it exceeded the companies expectations, but things immediately went wrong when 747 broke free and began a rampage through the facility of his birth, killing everyone. Not long after this he changed again, growing a Crest and Increasing in height. 747 soon sought escape from the facility and his chance came when salvaged and menace came to his world to take what they could, instead he took then and their ship, using some of the survivors to pilot the ship to another, more populated world. Here he began his final change, he became something else, something new, something utterly horrifying that Weyland-Yutani will regret creating

sounds like it would be an awesome comic idea, I miss the old comics

The new ones are alright, but they really don't compare to the old ones. There are some great old Alien comics, with Genocide and Labyrinth being two of my favourites!

Earth War, and Genocide were my favorite

Earth War is great too, must read for any Alien fan I'd say. Though I first read the Omnibus version and wondered why Wilks and Billie's backstory was uncannily similar to Hicks and Newts without realising they'd just been renamed. =P

Certainly reminds of Alien: Rogue.  Great book that certainly keeps to their particularly unfortunate desire to craft that perfect bioweapon.  (I see you there at that corner, you may not want to watch what happens.)

Anyways... You certainly nail that Geiger-esque look and the menace is there with its crest shield.  The unfortunate one on the ground... Maybe shock...  The tail is a little off but I think matters little beyond the imposing malice before us.  I literally can see the shading of the creature overlaying in my mind with that classic steely colors, jet blacks and the sickly green ichor upon the pearlescent sheen of it chitinsous shell.  Only imagine how much more it would before the stuff of nightmares in a colored glory.

I based it pretty heavily on the Prodos AVP Alien King. Though I do also love the Rogue's design with those massive spines in the top of his head and those whiskers off to the side of his chin. It is a good book, the fight with the Rogue and the Queen being very memorable.

Looking at it yeah, I made that tail a tad too long and it is a bit weird past the pipe. Could improve it by curving back before the steam. Commissioner was only after a line-art piece (which is fair enough), but Xeno's are always improved with shadows. Has tempted me to just do a piece myself though!

I wonder if you may take to color/shading the piece?

Not unless the original commissioner wanted to get it coloured. As much as I'd want to myself, it's a bit unfair on the other people that have got art from me.
