Aboard the Ark ship Dawning Horizon, Sheva is among one of the Light Forgers. A cast of individuals who build and design architecture, and technology using hard light. a technology mastered both by Forerunners and the Ancient humans before their demise at the hands of Flood and Forerunner. Ark Ship Dawning Horizon was a Vessel created in a desperate attempt to escape from that destruction, And while this didn't save the rest of the galaxy from the flood, they were out of options, and needed to preserve as much as they could of earth and their people before delving into the void of slip space.
While Ancient humans were entirely "human" they still were much more varied than their modern counterparts. consisting of 20 canonical sub species including various apes as well. And with their technology in genetics research, is also likely to include various anthromorph humanoids either for recreation or necessity for various tasks.
Sheva specifically though is more of a recreational nature. having an enjoyment of swimming and the ocean, so she had opted to be of an amphibious shark. genetically designed to both breath under water, and sustain her human like live style out of the water as well. Being a Light Forger, she also possesses the capabilities of crafting and manufacturing anything to her needs or desires. When not advancing further study on precursor artifacts that they had smuggled into slip space with them, or reverse engineering forerunner technology they'd also pilfered before leaving, then she is often designing things to her more aesthetically minded nature. Especially when it comes to entertainment. Though one thing she can't stand, is technology and products that look unfinished. Jury rigged jobs also leave her fuming, As while she admires ingenuity, She feels unsatisfied when a technology looks like it's still held together with adhesives and spot welds. Feeling the need to at the very least, finish the job to look more aesthetically pleasing, Even if it's a cosmetic finish. But will usually apply a functional enhancement in the process.
