Moving Soon!
Well, it's time for a serious picture for once. I will be moving tomorrow. It's the first time in my life that I move to a different place. For 30 years now I have lived in one apartment with my family. Lately only with my mom as my brother had moved out many years ago and my father passed away in 2015.

And while moving in with Asyr and my mom moving into a nice place of her own is exciting, I can't help but feel a little sad. All the memories kept rushing over me two days ago, as we disassembled and removed most of the old furniture - with only the most basic ones like beds remaining. It was strange seeing so much stuff that I had grown used to over the years, just turn down and disposed of in a matter of a few hours.

On the other side, it was just "stuff". There was no point in keeping it as most of it was old or too heavy to transport. And I am looking forward to all the new experiences waiting for me. I don't regret making this decision at all. I just needed to find an outlet for all the emotions that kept welling up inside me. And so I wanted to pay tribute to the place where I grew up and lived for all these years
.
So here's Night taking one last look of the old apartment. I tried recreating the entrance as best as I could, for instance that actually used to be the carpet we had there. :3

I'll probably look back on this in a few years and barely remember what the apartment was like, but it will definitely help me not forget my home for all these years.

Finally, here's some mood music that I had playing while I was drawing this. It seemed fitting: Cat Stevens - Father & Son

I'll see you all in a few days, once I have settled into the new place. :3 Take care!

I know exactly what you are going through. I had the same feeling when I moved into my new house. I was so fortunate to have my family house me until I completed college and landed a good job. For so long I stayed in one place. The act of moving can be overwhelming at times. Now you have Asyr and an exciting new life to lead. I wish you nothing but good fortune and happiness for you two. Never forget where you come from, who you where with, and who you are. This move for you is well earned and well deserved.

Thank you so much for the support and kind words! It's cool to see other people have lived through the same experience and I'm glad that you did. It's definitely a strange feeling, but also something to be happy about, seeing as you're ending things on good terms. I'm glad your family supported you until you were ready to live your own life. :3 I will heed your words.

Awww you'll never forget! It can be a sad thing when you leave a place! Especially one which has been your family home for so long! All those memories of the good and even the bad times.
But now you have new and exciting memories to make with your partner.
