EricSkunk has been more and more unhappy with his body as he got older. Between eye sight deteriorating and denied surgery to help improve it, being a type 1 diabetic and a couple other quirks he sought out to see how he could upgrade his body to be more of what he wanted it to be, as well as eliminate the health issues in the process. He was referred to Dr. Javi, who claims they do such services and had a great reputation.

Eric shook hands with the Genet Dr. Javi, before being told to sit down and they discuss his problems and what the doctor could do to help him with his situation.

“So, with my eyesight unable to be repaired from what other doctors have said, my diabetes that seems to have no cure for the foreseeable future that's making my body deteriorate faster, my heart having a murmur on top of just not happy with the body I’ve got… What exactly can you do about any of these things?” Eric asked.

"I have designed some bionic modifications that could help you with those issues.” he said. “A synthetic heart transplant would fix your murmur and, although artificial pancreata do exist, the digestive system is so complex I would recommend replacing it whole with a more efficient alternative to generate energy for your body - as I did to myself. However, it would probably be better if we started with something that requires less aggressive surgery, such as your sight problem. I too have bionic eyes and I've improved that technology far beyond what organic eyes could ever do."

Eric just blinked… Hearing what the Genet said as he was looking at the diagram on the wall showing a fair bit of options he could have done to his body: Not believing that all of that was possible, and this guy can do it! “Wow… All of that sounds incredible and would love to eventually get a fair bit of that done. But like you said, I rather have the eyes fixed first. I’ll need to get used to that and get the funds for the other stuff.”

“So… Whats next from here?”

The doctor reached for a sealed box on a shelf of his laboratory and produced from it a spherical device, half of which looked just like a regular human eye. "This is the standard model. It's very simple, just a rotable digital camera and a translation interface with your visual cortex, it replaces your eyeball entirely - I've seen it's much more efficient than organic tissue modification or partial replacements. Depending on which camera model you choose, you can also get infrared and ultraviolet vision, as well as depth imaging. Very useful in total darkness."

“...I… I can have that kind of ability in my sight?” Eric said wide-eyed! “If my budget can afford it I’d love to have all of that! But if not, at least get the depth imaging. I could think of ways that would help me with my hobbies at the least.”

"Very well then. Would you like to keep your current eye color?" said the doctor, as he showed Eric some samples of bionic eyes. He nodded. "Yeah if that's not any trouble."

-Fast forwarding to when the surgery was done and the new eyes just turned on for the first time-

Feeling a bit concerned once the eyes were turned on, blinking and squinting his eyes trying to see the Dr. clearly… “I dunno Dr. this feels off.”

"Don't be scared if you can't see well right now, your eyes have yet to be calibrated. Just stare forward and stay still." Upon doing so, Eric could notice his eyesight clearing up and focusing on the checker board pattern the doctor held before him, although the colors were all wrong. However, after looking at a different color pattern board, his eyes automatically shifted the colors to the right wavelength. Eric could see better than ever.

"I...wow. I don't really have words for how blown away I am with these features and how CLEAR everything is!!" Eric said, looking at his hand using the time infrared ability.

Dr. Javi smiled, "I'm glad you are happy with the results. Please, let me know if you notice any malfunction or discomfort."

“I will” said Eric, shaking Dr. Javi’s hand. “You have made the impossible possible to me, and Will be back for more of your help to help me be what I want to be.”
