Character Description
Alison is Ryan's older sister, closest companion, and the most loving, trusting, affectionate person in his life. The two are so comfortable and important to each other that they will snuggle in front of company (including her brother's first girlfriend). They have been an incredible source of comfort, encouragement, and strength since Ryan was five years old.
Personality
Alison is very high on positive energy. She's very cute and spunky. She is also very confident and independent. Her friendliness is one of her dominant traits along with empathy and an over all default to give people a true chance... until she feels rubbed the wrong way. Men tend to mistake her sex appeal for "flirtation", which makes her go feral. She would never harm a child, but gets the same way if someone in Ryan's age group mistreats him. Being very trusting, Ryan keeps nothing from her (including his first girlfriend's reputation for being a little flirt before they met). But she trusts her brother to handle his maturity, and has to take information like that with a huge grain of salt.
Likes/Dislikes
Likes: learning about psychology, getting sushi, snuggling with her brother.
Dislikes: being hit on, seeing others in distress, having to be stern with others on occasion.
Background/History
She has demonstrated incredible strength and resilience since she was nine, when her father shamed her for wearing very short shorts. She only liked the confidence in her appearance they gave, and knew she was only trying to look cute. So though the emotional abuse impacted her greatly, she didn't change her style.
She loved spending time with Ryan when he was a baby, and found the strength to deal with her father's abuse when he started shaming her brother as "emasculine" for not liking sports.
Alison took protective and loving measures to be there for Ryan and her brother, was the first to push back against her father, encouraged her mother to separate, and was the first to seek therapy to handle the thoughts put in her head by her gas-lighting father (and fully recover from them).
Her mother, Nina, compensated financially by taking long business trips half the year (so she can spend time with her children the other half). Alison takes over as Ryan's legal guardian when their mother is away. Nina is very resilient and smart, balancing going to school for psychology, studying, and maintaining her home for the comfort of both her brother and herself. She finds no stress between her school life and personal life.
As Ryan comes out of his shell, the two grow closer together. She is the biggest part of his life and vise versa. She has even gone as far as promising that she will plan an itinerary for his first date (which actually happens).
Throughout his life, Alison will maintain her close relationship with her brother, even as adulthood gives both of them challenges to do so (and their comfort with cuddling each other will never be sacrificed).

Her and Ryan live in a suburb near the countryside and next to the beach. She is mostly highlighted within the story of Ryan's preteen/early teenage years.

medium-slender frame with some meat on her bones, yellow body fur, and cream-colored fur on her shins, paws, knees, forearms, hands, cheeks, belly, and accented ears/tail.
