And so it came to be that Steve-O Hedgehog and Anika Kent aka SuperLoba had completely fallen for each other, and within a short time, went steady. To say a relationship with someone that had to fulfill two different roles was a bit strange is an understatement. When everything was business as usual for the two of them, working together at the daily planet, they had to act as if nothing had changed. They were still reporters working together in the same place, treating each other the same way as they always had. Anika, the sweet but bumbling, clumsy chubby wolf, and Steve-O, the hard nosed, no nonsense reporter. Every once in a while as they worked, they would glance at each other and blush. On occasion, Anika would wordlessly signal to the hedgehog to meet her in the elevator. When no one was around, they would quickly jump into the elevator, hit the button to travel all the way down, and in a quick and fiery moment of passion, would kiss, lick and hold each other, seeing as it was the only time they could be romantic while at work without anyone getting suspicious of the two. The two loved each other, but if their relationship was going to work, it needed to be free from as much outside drama as possible. When work was over, the two of them would walk back to either's apartment, arm in arm, and behind closed doors, Anika would shed her outward appearance and persona and be her true self. SuperLoba. The last cub of krypton, the savior of Metropolis a dozen times over, and the most passionate and strongest lover any male could desire. The two of them had been together as a secret couple for a few months when something had come up, something SuperLoba could not ignore. A distress signal from deep in outer space had been received and deciphered from the national space administration. SuperLoba, wanting to help others, even if they were from a planet far away, volunteered to visit the ailing planet and use her abilities to help the inhabitants there. But despite having a special ship made from the remains of the very one that brought her to earth from Krypton, the trip would take several weeks, not counting what time would be needed to actually accomplish the mission. Explaining to her love that she was desperately needed on a world several lightyears away was not easy. A new couple always finds separation difficult. With a heavy heart, Steve-O eventually accepted that she had to go, but then a question arose. If SuperLoba was gone, who would defend the city? And worse yet, if other super villains discovered that Metropolis had no champion, it would be all too easy to commit crimes with little consequence. After a while, she had come up with a solution. With no time to waste, she left with a mighty sonic boom following her as she flew off without telling Steve-O where she was going. A few hours later, she had returned, accomplishing whatever she did, assuring Steve-O that everything was going to be fine, she had found the solution to her problem. The night before her departure, she and Steve-O spent every waking moment with each other, saying their goodbyes as lovers do. From night until the breaking dawn.
The day of her departure, as Steve-O came to bid farewell to his super lover, a couple of familiar faces had gently flown in from the sky. It was Mighty Mousie and Supervixen! Steve-O was surprised to see them both, as it had been a long time since the two of them had been around. He had met all three of the super heroines before as a matter of fact when he had performed an interview on the trio. It went well, and it seemed at the time that perhaps they had all fallen for him in their own way. It definitely made an interesting photo for the paper! And on Steve-O of course. He did have a way of getting into trouble, in no small part due to his way of getting down to the bottom of a story, regardless of the risks. Of course, the two girls reassured her that he would be well guarded, as well as the city too. As SuperLoba blasted off to her distant destination, Mighty Mousie and SuperVixen wasted no time in moving in close to comfort Steve-O, and as they did, they saw a moment of opportunity at their feet. After all, it intrigued them that such a smaller mammal like a hedgehog could woo and please such a large and powerful wolf like Anika. They intended to find the answer to that, one way or another. They had noticed that during their past interviews with him, he had an affinity for SuperLoba from the start, and despite their heroic intentions, this did give them a feeling of jealousy, seeing Steve-O almost gravitate to SuperLoba every chance he had. Maybe now it was time for these two heroines, who had yet to find a boyfriend in their home towns to pounce.
The next few weeks were a blur for our hapless hedgehog hero, as the new focus for the paper was the new heroines on the scene. It was never hard to find them both, as the two of them did their jobs diligently to protect the city. On days when the girls had found some free time, they would often agree to pose for pictures for the paper and perform interviews. This was a big help for Steve-O, as an exclusive scoop would certainly boost his career at the planet. It was a shame he couldn't share the glory with Anika, who he had missed deeply during this time. But it seemed to Steve-O that the Mousie and Vixen had become very friendly with him. Perhaps a bit too friendly, as the two made no effort to hide their efforts to flirt with them. Steve-O was a loyal mate, and his mate was SuperLoba, but he would be lying if he said he wasn't tempted by the two sexy and curvaceous girls in uniform. As time went on, SuperLoba had finally completed her mission in space, saving a dying planet from destruction and saving millions of lives. The high council of the foreign planet had wanted to reward her for all of her hard work, but she refused. Knowing that she had saved lives was reward enough. But to be honest, her real reward to would be to return to earth, her home, to see her beloved again, to hold him in her strong and powerful arms again, to cover him in kisses as she would touch down on the blue and green orb again. But to her surprise, as she arrived back on earth, Steve-O was not there to greet her. Her heart ached. Had something happened to him? He wouldn't miss the chance to greet her after a long absence! With no time to waste, she flew through the air at breakneck speed, searching the city for her green, spikey lover. By coincidence, she flew by the rooftop that she and MM and SV had gathered before to have their interviews with Steve-O all those years ago. And to her surprise, she had found her love. Not there waiting, but being hugged, smothered and rubbed on by Supervixen and Mighty Mousie! Her blood ran cold, and then immediately started boiling! Her friends, her cohorts, the ones she had trusted... Were making moves on HER MAN! Silently, slowly, she floated closer and closer behind them. She crossed her arms, heaving her huge bosoms upwards as she did. Her glare was about to burn a hole through the back of their heads. And as she grew angrier, her eyes started glowing red. Her heat vision was about to do it for real! Somebody has some explaining to do!
