Mac had a bit of an unlucky first impression with Perchta. He played a prank on her (which included an artificial spider) which backfires as she is nearly completely panicked. First, he just tried his best to make up for the prank but over time he more and more found a liking in the girl, and for this reason, he asked his halfbrother/nephew Nathaniel, how to best approach her in a good way, who suggest him to go out on a date with her. After Virgil found out, who Mac was trying to date he showed him an old post on a dating website where she was looking for her "Knight in Shining Armor" dressed in a princess-like dress, giving Mac the inspiration for the exact kind of date he was looking for. The date went pretty well. And the fact he uses his strength to carry her the last meters to their picnic spot helped a lot to make a good impression on his new princess.
