I know a couple like this, and I know at least 1 that posts YCHs a LOT, and then complains 2 hours after posting that no one is bidding.

What’s bad is they’re very good and I even have comm’d them myself, but it’s just kinda bizarre. I know another really artist that does YCHs and then just advertises them every couple days or so, and then it sells out. So yknow, I dunno.

I know one of those too. The funniest is when they actually get ych commissions and then post like 100 pics of the same ych in one compressed post on IB and you have to search for yours if you commissioned one XD

I'm not gonna name names, but I had an experience like this. Was waiting years on a picture at one point, but they were dealing with this, that, and the other thing at home and social anxiety, and blah blah blah. I did eventually get a refund at least. And despite the ghosting, I really didn't care that it was taking so long and I didn't really need the money back, I just wanted the picture and here they were posting new stuff that I knew were commissioned long after mine... that weren't mine. And it wasn't complicated.
It's really sad, too, because based on the comments I've seen, they seem really well-liked and we're squared up moneywise. I'm just disappointed more than anything.

You forgot the "popular-artist" a mix of gibbies, Twitter, but only for people with 5k+ followers. and also they do draw shit in their free time as private commissions but are actively against it(cubs, rape, zoo etc...).

- Only uses FA, with a SFW gallery on DeviantArt. - Has been active in the fandom since the '90s, and still acts as if the fandom hasn't changed since the year 2004. - Doesn't have a TOS, doesn't open "slots", or have a "Commission Instructions" sheet, and would rather die than get a Patreon or other pay-per-month paywall, forcing the customer to have to act like an adult and actually ask them if they are open and if they will do what the customer wants (which is why they get so few commissions). - Only interacts via email (often the same Hotmail email they've had for years), which can mean that replies take either minutes to arrive or days. - Works almost exclusively in real media (paper, pencil, ink, watercolor, etc), but won't part with the original. - References artists that were popular decades ago but no one recognizes anymore. - Probably won't draw your super specific modern fetish, but has been in the fandom so long they aren't shocked by it and won't judge you for it. - Probably has a real job like management or marketing (which is why they aren't online at 2am in the goddamn morning to answer your dumass questions) and doesn't really need the money. - Is either really chill and fairly reliable, or a jaded and angry old man who won't stop bitching about how much they hate Furries (but will never actually leave the fandom because it's all they know).

There also definitely needs to be one for FA artists with hundreds of YCH sketches with no finished work examples. Who also just randomly favorite people's ref sheets as self advertisement.

While I know not all of these are based on specific people, I’m 99% sure I know who “Pawlitics” is, and it made me sad remembering that one of my all-time favorite furry artists turned into a hateful bigot.
