I was going through twitter account to respond to stuff....and wow. I dunno what I ever said, but this man took the time to thank me. He died in 2022. It makes me sad.
My favorite Gilbert Gottfried joke is actually him being God in Smiling Friends, and all the humor being derived from his immense wisdom and love being delivered by Gottfried's distinct and somewhat harsh vocals - he doesn't sound anything like the dad or king you'd expect, but the performance stands out by being one of the few respectful depictions of the Almighty in a cartoon to air on a mainstream TV channel in decades. (VeggieTales had to have references to God chopped out of it in order to air on cable LOL.)
