We gotta be 3 to afford it, and that's with one of us having a job that pays like 4 times what I make 🙃 But the rent price is also going (the apartment we currently live in was gonna go up by $100 a month) so we decided to go for it. And we got super lucky with the house we found, too.

Congratulations! I bought a house last year and while none of my plans went through like I'd hoped, the house has been amazing. Three hundred fucking dollars a month cheaper than renting! What the fuck!
