Eeeh... excessive drinking mixed with drugs and prolly no healthy diet can kill even young, previously healthy people. Add some depression into the mix and you've got yourself one to three years life expectancy... Our sweet donk doesn't deserve it ;_;

i'm picturing this episode in a less tragic way.
totally agreeing with you that this is caused by his lifestyle;
this can also cause wild oscillations in his blood pressure,
and when you systolic (max) pressure reach, say, 67, the best thing his body can do is faint, putting him into an horizontal position, while levels hopefully re-adjusts.

after all, the artist use words as malfunction and glitch....

Alright, I'm no cardiologist and I won't outright dispute your diagnosis but as I focused my attention on the first two picures I'd say he had cardiac arrythmia following acute excessive alcohol ingestion due to how his eyes look in the first panel compared to the second one (and this obviously being an artistic expression of the ailment). The only thing that saved him was his youth and relatively strong organism. Possible early stages of cardiomyopathy. Here's hoping he finds someone worthy of throwing out the bottle. In this case the therapy I'd recommend is lots of love, hugs instead of drugs and replacing sex on the beach with actual, literal sex on the beach. I would also like to recommend myself as the therapist :3

Not really dying. I think he's thinking of his birthday or his mother's birthday is coming soon.
That's me assuming that his mother is still alive >_>'

oh, artist,
the way you shift from an emotion to another at every episode,
comic, dramatic, serious, sweet/wholesome, menacingly tragic,   what's next?

secretly hope punkychoko has a serious case of hypochondriasis

I guess that it makes the feeling stronger to switch from one emotion to another, or mixing several ones in a single comic. Next will be... well you'll see :3

A stark reminder of where this path leads... As much fun as the highs are for our young, punky donk, the lows and the potential end for this path aren't nearly so nice.

I'm curious, IRL, one of the worst things we can do is be an onlooker... Is there anything we, the onlookers into this story can do to help our hero turn his life into something a little more positive?

Yeah but does he really care about the consequences?

And I guess not, all you can do is keeping an eye on his various "adventures", if you're willing to
