Animation Cel Still:
Remember oldschool animation, when it used to be drawn on cels? Well, I don't intend to animate, that would take forever, BUT I absolutely want to draw still illustrations on it as a medium. My goal is to draw fan-art of various series, probably mostly anime, in my style. If it's sfw or at least not porn, I would be able to sell the original art. If it's adult, well, at least people can look at it online.

The Process:
Using an animation or drafting table, a sketch is drawn on paper, a cel is placed on top of it and the illustration is inked, then flip the cel and fill in the colors with acrylic paint. Then this cel flipped back over ink side up and placed on a watercolor gouache background illustration. If it sounds like a medium you want to work with, here are the materials I'm thinking of buying, so you can buy it for yourself if you want to.

paper: https://www.chromacolour.co.uk/pro-grade-15f-70gsm-anim...
Animation Cel: https://www.chromacolour.co.uk/15f-animation-cel-100-sh...
ChromaColor: https://www.chromacolour.co.uk/animation-supplies/cel-p...
Expensive watercolor gouache: https://www.dickblick.com/products/winsor-newton-profes...
Cost efficient watercolor gouache: https://www.amazon.com/Gouache-Carrying-Students-Waterc...
I got no clue what drafting table to get. Got ideas? It's okay if it's expensive, right now i'm daydreaming, but who knows, I might get lucky.

The Difficulty:
It's a very expensive medium. If I buy 100 sheets of paper, 100 cels, and all 37 chromacolors, it would easily cost 560 pounds or 695 usd. Then the price balloons into the stratosphere if I decide to try to buy every weston and newton color. Alternatively there is a the miya watercolor gouache set, which on youtube appears to do a fine job. Though to be honest I find backgrounds kinda boring to draw, i might just ai generate them and print those.
Realistically I can't see a way I can earn this kinda money. Every month I pay my bills and have very little left over, or am even in the negative some. It's difficult.

Two ways to support this idea:
1. Pretty please send me money? The calf tries to be really cute. I really love the idea, and I just wanna get right to it, ya know? DM me for the pay of pal link.
2. Perhaps buy as many sketchpages as possible? It's the most efficient commission. It's $50 dollars, I draw as many doodles as I can in an hour. It's best with one or two characters. DM to order, give me the character info and references, give me a general theme of what you hope to see. I can draw live, It usually takes 2 hours of sit-down time to do an hour of art since i pause the timer whenever i'm not drawing. Please don't ask for a bajillion edits, it's just doodles, you know? Note down anything glaring and i'll try to fix what i can in like 5 minutes. Anything beyond that and I'll recommend an amount of extra time to buy.

Can't I just buy a cel drawing?
I think this medium isn't best suited for commissions, as people tend to ask for edits. I think I can edit the background a little if needed, however i strongly suspect the character art would smear horribly, and I would have to redraw it. It's best for me to draw the fan-art and put it up for auction or sale. That way people know what the art looks like before spending a lot.
If you still want it and are willing to live with how it turns out without edits, it would cost $250 a character, and $250 for a hand-drawn background. To save a little bit of money I can AI generate a background then print it, $50. +shipping cost.

Thankyou so much for considering helping me out. It means a lot to me.

Thanks a bunch! I think the wooden sword is neat. A toy sword to be sure, but since it is, how it can probably used differently like blocking attacks, to sort of hook against something, then pull, push, redirect it. Perhaps used as a form of leverage.
