Delmar had been sleeping on the deck of their adoptive parents' houseboat Stingray during the night. Even though she can survive out of the water for only a few hours, the ocean breeze had been keeping her skin nice and moist. Now it's morning as she has a light breakfast before changing into one of her swimsuits and going for her daily swim...which includes mingling with the sea creatures, picking up some of the trash those careless humans throw away, and collecting pearls to sell at the local flea market. But just as she steps onto the diving platform and climbs down the ladder into the water...What is this? REAL MERPEOPLE?! It's toddler mer-friends Urchin and Rainbow curiously checking out the strange human craft...and are now more curious about the strange human emerging from the craft. A human that can breathe underwater like a MERPERSON?!! Well, Delmar had to explain to the toddlers that she's part mermaid herself. She doesn't remember much about her birth parents, except that they wer one human and one merperson. The two little ones become fascinated by the teen girl's ability to move around gracefully and stay underwater for a long time. The three of them become fast friends, and soon set off to spend the day playing under the ocean.
