So I have a terminal problem with fucking up my big toes (especially the nail), and it's finally reached a climax...

Got my full nail (temporarily) removed with intent to permanently remove it if it can't grow back in normally in a year..... Ugh. It sounds like such a small thing but it literally makes you bedridden for the first few days, and man does it HURT and you just kinda keep bleeding for a full week. Horrid!!! I'm really not looking forward to a permanent removal x_x

It's been about a month and I can wear closed-toes shoes again, but figured something to commemorate limping around in between salt baths (ow). hahaha

Ingrown toenails are just a regular occurance for me. Had two small operations already where the sides got removed, hope last time was the last time. If i lived in the dark ages I probably would have died of an infection by now.

Honestly thoughhhh I've always had self-inflicted injury ingrown issues but this one was definitely the worse of the lot hahahaha ugh, toenails, horrid xD

had the same problem / operation. the nail has re-grown, but in a bit "weird" way.
a tip: check frequently the alignment of the nail
(can grow a bit... diagonal, so to speak),
and be assured does not grow too thick (not long or wide, thick)

edit: be warned, the nail can re-grow not so strong as before (more easily to detach). ouch.

I'm pretty sure I'll have to get it permanently removed, i think I've damaged the nail matrix/bed too much at this point...but I want to give it a chance!!

I heard that! Honestly, that would be a godsend. They're too thick for most clippers, so being thinner would be perfect xD

Ooof not fun , hope you get better soon.

I have a weird problem with my left foot middle toenail I have psoriasis in and on it very very painful and never gos away the whole toenail falls off at times but grows back and hurts so bad you want to cut off the whole toe .

Ooof, ow. As someone who regularily stubs the shit out of his toes, and once closed a finger in a car door... you have my every sympathy. Regrowing a nail from scratch is weeeeeeird. I can only imagine how debilitating it is on a toe nail too.

OW! Yeah, it's a very odd feeling... The main thing is how slow it is? I'm over a month in now, and I'm only now wearing socks and closed-toe shoes without issue. Like, c'mon nail, get with it!!

Big ouch.., no fun, you can just remove the sides of the nail nerves so they don't grow. Idk if that's the issue?

In this instance, the nail was both ingrown and raised off the nailbed (which is just a horrid thing ahaha) so it all got infected ):< Gonna see if it can grow in clean this time around....

i know someone who had the same procedure done, unfortunately for them the nail never grew back in quite correctly, so i guess the ingrown issue was fixed, but even after all these years they dont have a regular nail

Oof Hopefully it's not giving them pain at the least ;3; Yeah, I'm kinda resigning myself to the same thing xD
