Been a while since I did one of these wall of text toon thingies XP. A point worth making, though, because there is no end to mobs of complete assholes inventing reasons for something fictional to be equated to a real crime and therefore those behind it are genuinely evil people. And these incredibly stupid twats think they're on a moral high horse for doing nothing but spreading misery wherever they go. Being a complete tit on the internet is the easiest thing to do, it doesn't involve making anything worth a damn and it is so cowardly in a moral and intellectual sense that it's truly mystifying to witness. I try to imagine what someone this pathetic looks like and I come up empty.

THIS! I remember years ago when you responded to all those who caused me detrimental harm over the years. You didn't have to, but you did and I'm forever grateful. I'm in a much better place/state of mind now, for those concerned.

I joined the fandom for the art, and have gotten pretty good at tuning the drama out and focusing on cute ocs and art styles like yours.
The better we get at not allowing drama and hate to affect us the less power it can hold over us.

It is nice how the fandom is so vast and varied that pratically anyone of any value can readily find dozens of like-minded folks that are ready to be your friend, because they appreciate you and what you do. It speaks to the strength of furry as a social support network. People have tried to dismantle this in recent years, but it simply can't be done.

In all truth, every community has its own group of narcissists, ready at a moment's notice to turn anything and everything they personally dislike into a community-wide issue. And with left-leaning groups like the furry fandom, where people from marginalized groups are given a louder voice, actors like this will always use their status as a member of a marginalized community as a way of earning unwarranted favor in the community. Thereby becoming able to paint somethin they personally don't like as a grand, community-wide problem that must be stomped out for their own comfor- uhh, I mean, for the greater good of the fandom. People like this are everywhere and they need a cruel, but very much warranted reality check. As a far left leaning person, I obviously don't agree on much with you, but I wouldn't treat you like shit because of that. What matters in the end is learning to recognize other people's humanity and treat the as such. Which seems to be and increasingly difficult thing under these people's reign

Conceptualizing people as being in marginalized groups is the problem to begin with. People are individuals, not collectives, so there is no universalized experience, particularly in western nations where it is illegal to mistreat people based on inalienable characteristics. Earmarking people of a particular demographic as worthy of special treatment, whatever form that treatment takes, means you already do privilege those people, so it's inevitable they will behave in an entitled way, because public policy has entitled them to more. Collectivism is shit, it's not a matter of whether one agrees with me or not, it's an objective fact, and people on the right or the left have no business supporting it.

1. As Aristotle said, man is a social animal, we inevitably find commonalities with each other and unity based on the; and later on try to affect change  based on all of that. Whether for better or for worse, it's a truth of the human condition. The thing, I think, we should be thinking about would be "what is the best way to increase the happiness and standard of living for the most people"? That is to say, we shouldn't act as separated communities always at odds with each other, but rather try to find a way to unite. As Slavoj Zizek said, "I don't want authenticity, I want things to function"

2. One thing that has always gotten to me about liberals is the way they treat people of marginalized identities. That is to say, they give them more of a say on everything, even things that have nothing to do with said marginalized identity. It is in a way dehumanizing. Like how people of old saw kings as God's avatars on earth; which makes it even more ironic for a group of people that are opposed to monarchy. Whether positive or negative, dehumanization is still dehumanization. Period! There is no good reason to give one group more of a voice over another group; especially if equality is one of your goals.

3. I'd love to talk to you more about all of this stuff. You seem very interesting and I'd rather not fill up this comment section with replies, so feel free to DM. I'd love to talk more

I'm not keen on private conversations XP. Anyway, collectivism isn't people simply socialising, we do that naturally. People thinking they could work out some optimum conditions for human welfare is an arrogant and ultimately destructive path, which is why whenever such collectivist policies are tried they end in disaster. No, healthy communities form organically, they involve gatekeeping and voluntary association, not some prescribed universal thing organised from the top down or by people who think they're smart enough to do it. The more people try to meddle, the more they fuck everything up, which is why collectivist ideology is evil shite. I'm into the liberal, individualist tradition, where we make our own choices and form our own small communities and associations, held to equal legal rules, where what matters is our quality of character and our deeds, not what we are born as or our demographics.

The left today has embraced socialism, collectivist ideology, so it is a thing to be resisted entirely. The same goes for collectivism on the right, which is theocracy, monarchy, feudalism and aristocracy. All of it is inferior to what the west has already achieved.
