For what it's worth, it seems like something more bothers you. We can see from the structure of the story she might not be someone whose action you agree with, but Luna doesn't hold malice in her actions. At the worst you might say she's doing her best with bad odds. It's because of that I presumed something had hurt you in the past. Lastly, I wasn't sarcastic; my hope was to say something kind to you instead of immediately getting into the old fashioned internet flaming which is everyone's first impulse, even my own!

If Luna held natural malice it would be more reasonable to understand her, no instead she holds onto delusional plans for a future she can't see or balance and instead seems to ruin most lives she touches while getting involved sometimes but outright abandoning those that need her the most. The worst part of her character is she does everything wrong and can't acknowledge her own failings and she NEVER tries to correct her mistakes instead doubling down and making things worse i.e. blind Nigel.

Sorry but her emotions here just feel shallow. She may care about her daughter but after watching her blind that kid I just can’t get on board with her. The fact that everyone else in the story just doesn’t seem to care just makes it worse. This is like watching a super toxic parent wail that their favorite child has hardships lined up right after they beat a disability into the other child that she doesn’t care for. The casualness of the cruelty makes me not want to read about this any more.
