The girl with her phone is back, I'm not sure anyone remember of her, but she appeared in one of the episode from the intro. Outside of the joke, I see so many people doing that irl, walking in the street without even realizing they're about to hit someone or such, guys walking their dog without even paying attention to them, moms pushing their stroller while browsing stuff on the net. I mean, I really love my phone too, but it makes me sad to see how those devices turned people into zombie sometimes...
ay-friggin-men. Modern day cell phones are amazing devices, essentially full blown computers with unfettered access to the internet in your pocket. P-dang smart, but don't let the tech make you dumb. :P

There is also plenty on the other end of it.. pleople that, when they syop for a moment, "zone out" into their cell-phones.. going up/down escalators, drivers at a red light, people at a zebra cross waiting a red light to cross...

I'm glued to my cell phone screen and insolated by my earbuds whenever I'm in the city. I absolutely hate being approached and then belittled, guilted, and/or otherwise pressured into donating, buying, and/or signing something. But even I stop and look up at each and every crosswalk. I love this. :3

Saw this car stalled on the inside lane of a four-lane boulevard. Two ladies aboard. Negotiable traffic, and it's residential so there was a clear side street handy. Got my car right behind them with flashers on, let them know I was going to push them over to that side street to get them out of the center of traffic on the main street. Told them to put it in Neutral and I would give three honks when I was ready to push. Oncoming traffic cleared, three honks and I got them out of harm's way. Did it slow enough so they could brake unpowered to a stop. Flat streets all around made this effort easy. Made sure they came to a full stop, gave a friendly beep on my horn and I was on my way. Other things are more ordinary: reminding someone of their forgotten wallet/cel-phone, dangerously low tire pressure, need to turn their car lights on, things like that. Most of my examples involve cars/driving because really that's my maximum exposure to others' behavior.
