- Ready? Set, GO! – is heard from Dipper’s voice inside the Mystery Shack. On the kitchen, Dipper and Pacifica, who are sit next to the other, each one holding a bottle of maple-flavored syrup upside down over a plate of pancakes in front of each one, cheering them to see which one will pour their syrup first. Pacifica hits the bottom of her bottle, making a lot of syrup feels over her pancakes, while Dipper’s bottle is slowly appearing – YEAH, I WON! – she turns her bottle, cleaning the syrup on the tip with her finger, she tastes the syrup on her finger, she shivers, and takes her finger out in signal of disgust – Thinking again, I lost – and quickly changes her pancake’s plate with Dipper’s, when a drop of his syrup falls on it – Years of eating real maple syrup has made my taste buds can detect all the artificial chemicals in this high fructose syrup – says while cuts her new plate of pancakes, while Dipper now looks his with a little of disgust - Hearing you describing it in that way, makes me not want to eat them – says Dipper looking at his syrup covered pancakes – Sorry, honey, take these – Dipper turns to Pacifica, just to receive a fork with pancakes on his mouth – These are still clean, I’ll call later to the mansion to bring us real maple syrup – Pacifica said while she also ate part of the pancakes – Don’t forget what we talked, you must be careful about how we address us, what if Gruncle Stan hears you? – I don’t think he, or anyone, will think too much about that while they know you are my brother… also, you must forgive me, I try to enjoy each minute I’m with you as much as possible – she says smiling, Dipper smiles at her, before another fork with pancakes goes again inside her mouth, retiring it empty.

Dipper takes a magazine of wacky news, and after turning a couple of pages – Paci, look -  and shows her an ad that says “MONSTER CONTEST PHOTO WIN $1000” with the photos of a farmer and a hairy monster, with the legend “LAST MONTH’S WINNER” under them – We have seen weirder stuff than that, we didn’t get any photo of those gnomes, did we? – No, I forgot to take out my cell phone during all that madness, besides, why would you want to win a contest for just a thousand? if you want that or more, I can give them to you – But that’s your money, Paci, I just have what I can find in my pockets – Dipper says before the middle and index fingers of Pacifica’s right hand place over his chest - Hey, you’re my brother, and my boyfriend – says while makes her finger walk over Dipper’s chest – So if I can help you with anything you want and/or need, you know you have a blank check with me, in and out bed – She raises her hand, moving Dipper’s bangs, making him giggle – Thank you, Paci, but still, I’m used to work for the things I want, it makes the rewards feels worthy – Really? – ask Pacifica, who places her elbows on the table, and cross the fingers of both hands, and places her chin over them. –

They heard steps coming to the kitchen, and sees Gruncle Stan, still in underwear and wearing his maroon fez – Uhh, good morning, knuckleheads, you two know what day it is? – Umm… happy anniversary? – ask Dipper – Why happy anniversary? he’s not married – Pacifica ask him, but Dipper just shrugs – Bahh – Stan says before hitting Dipper softly with a rolled newspaper on the bill, covering his eyes – It’s family fun day, genius! we’re cutting work off and havin’ one of those, ya know – says while opens the fridge – Bonding-type deals – says while takes out a carton of milk, sniffing its content; - Uh, what are you planning? – Dipper ask while adjusts his cap – All right, maybe I haven’t been the best summer caretaker – Stan says while walks behind the twins, placing his hands on their shoulders – But I swear, today we’re gonna have some real family fun, now, who wants to put on some blindfolds and get into my car? – YAY! – both twins say cheerfully – Wait, what? – ask Dipper after analyzing Stan’s words.

THE LEGEND OF THE GOBBLEWONKER AU

Moments later, a 1965 red El Diablo convertible 4 door sedan with white hood and a license plate that says “STNLYMBL” rolls on the roads of Gravity Falls, with Stan driving, while Dipper and Pacifica, who wear blindfolds, are on the back seat; Stan tries to tune the radio, without paying attention to the road, making some very quick and forced movements – Blindfolds never led to anything good – says Dipper – Oh, I don’t know – says Pacifica – I feel like all my other senses are heightened – she stretches her arms in direction of Dipper’s voice, touching his face with the tip of her fingers, making him laugh, when Pacifica feels Dipper’s ear, she approaches her mouth to whisper on his ear – (whispering) We should try one when we want to get physically more intimate – (whispering) Paci, not now – The car bumps, making Dipper and Pacifica jumps on their seats – Gruncle Stan, are you wearing a blindfold? – Dipper ask – Ha ha, naaah, but with these cataracts, I might as well be… what is that, a woodpecker? – The passes through the barrier of a curve, going out of the road, making the twins scream.

Miraculously, moments later, Dipper and Pacifica stand up out of the cart, that has a lot of leaves and branches on the grill – Okay, okay, open ’em up – Stan says, Dipper and Pacifica take their blindfolds out, just to see Stan, wearing fisherman clothes, two fishing rods, with his left leg over a box of baits, under a sign hold by two poles that says in red “FISHING SEASON OPENING DAY”, and a lake and harbor surrounded by cliffs behind him – TA-DA!... it’s fishing season! – Stan says cheerfully, while Pacifica places the blindfold over her eyes again – Fishing? – Dipper ask – You’re gonna love it, the whole town’s out here – Stan says happy; Dipper looks at the people on the boats that sail on the lake, and only sees an old woman with a strong tick on her right hand, holding an iron pan on her right hand, calling the fishes to jump on it. Other boat shows a big and muscle lumberjack man with a lot of red hair on his body on the prow, and three kids of red hair with finish rods on the stern – Uh, is this good? – ask one of the kids – NO! – the lumberjack says, grabbing the kid’s rod, and breaking it with his knee – I’ll show you how a real man fishes! – the lumberjack bends on the edge of the boat, moving his fingers like preparing to grab something with them, when suddenly he’s splashed by a girl around 12 years old, of long brown hair, that despite being wet, is noticeable hasn’t been brushed in a pretty long time, green eyes and a checkered purple shirt, coming out of the water holding on her mouth a fish, then the lumberjack pats happily his knee and aims to the girl – HA!, That’s my girl!; - That’s some quality family bonding! – says Stan with a big smile.

Dipper lifts Pacifica’s blindfold, looking at her at the eyes, like reading each other’s mind, and she takes it off – Uncle Stan, why do you want to bond with us all of a sudden? – ask Dipper, and Stan approaches to them – Come on! This is gonna be great! I’ve never had fishin’ buddies before, the guy from the lounge won’t go with me, they don’t “like” or “trust” me – says while makes air quotations – And how long will this fishing trip last? – ask Pacifica crossing her arms – There will be ten hours of you and me on a boat? – Stan replies – Ten hours?! – ask Dipper stupefied – You should have told me to bring my swim suit, I don’t think fishing is for me, but I’ll take any change possible to have a natural sun bath – says Pacifica while looks at the sky.

- I’VE SEEN IT, I’VE SEEN IT! – everyone hears suddenly, McGucket appears, pushing some of the fishermen on the dock, and running through the beach, causing a ruckus on his way, kicking rods, turning tables, hitting a man’s subway sandwich, until grabs a man for the arms – The Gravity Falls gobblewonker! come quick before he scramdoodles away – The gummywhat?! – Dipper asks, McGucket approaches to him, and grabs him from the shoulders – The gobblewonker, kid, the gobblewonker!. – From a wood hut, a man wearing a ranger park uniform, holding a spray bottle filled with water – Hey hey hey! – he approaches to McGucket, who moves away, trying to protect himself – now, what did I tell you about scaring my customers? – and sprays him – This is your last warning, dad – But I got proof this time, by gummity, follow me! – McGucket says while walks back to the docks, all the curious, including the Northpine twins, follow him. In the docks, there is a police boat with two policemen there, when everyone approaches to the end of the dock - BEHOLD! – McGucket says, while aims a boat broken in half near the dock – It’s gobbledywonker what done did it, it had a long neck like a gee-raffe, and wrinkly skin like… like this gentleman right here – says while aims Stan with his finger – It chopped my boat up to smitheroons, it shimsammed over to Schuttlebutt Island – says, aiming to a little island on the middle of the lake, is covered by mist, just allowing to see the silhouette of trees and a totem pole – Ya gotta believe me!!! – Dipper approaches to the edge of the dock, kneeling to reach one wood piece of the broken boat, while he hears someone say – Attention, all units, we got ourselves a crazy old man – everyone, except for Dipper, who is examining the piece of wood, Pacifica, Stan and the ranger, laugh at McGucket; McGucket walks away, ashamed, while everyone, except for Stan and the Northpine twins, leave the dock – Well, that happened – Stan says, then walks to a boat on the dock, the boat looks old, with a lot of fast and not very well done fixing, and painted in black letter at one side says “STANO WAR” – Now, let’s untie this boat and get out on that lake! – Stan begins to untie the boat from the dock, while Pacifica approaches to Dipper – Does your journal says something about a lake monster? – she asks Dipper – Uh, no, I don’t remember to have read about one, but if there exist one – and looks in direction of the island – Why do you want to investigate the existence of a monster? Don’t you remember we barely escaped from those gnomes just yesterday? – says Pacifica with her arms crossed, while Dipper stands up, turning to her, excited – Because this is the chance to register a life form that no one believes that exist, this is a chance of once in history – I’m still not sure – Ok, I also was thinking that if I won the contest of that magazine – says while walks next to her – I could invite that beautiful girl of dreamy dark blue eyes to a date, Yyu know who I’m talking about, right? – Pacifica blushes, and walks towards him looking at him with a mix of anger and embarrassment – (whispering) You, sneaky charmer – she says – (whispering) Hmm, I love you too – Dipper says while smiles at her, then walks towards Stan, placing his arm around his back – Gruncle Stan, change of plans, we’re taking that boat to Scuttlebutt Island, and we are gonna find that gobblewonker! – He wants to go monster hunting so he can ask a girl to go out with him – says Pacifica with a smirk and arms crossed, behind Dipper, who open wide his eyes, and turns to her, angry and embarrassed, with his face totally red – You didn’t have to say that – says to Pacifica – Didn’t I? – she says to Dipper, winking and taking out her tongue.

Then, they hear the fog whistle of a big boat, they see a bigger boat, that it has a lot of metal patches, approaching in reverse to the dock with the name “S.S.Cool Dude” on the side, and Soos with a fishing rod on the stern – You dudes say something about a monster hunt? – Soos ask – Yeah, he wants so impress a girl – says Pacifica, aiming Dipper with her thumb, Dipper blushes, and downs the bill of his cap, trying to hide his face while she looks at him funny – Dude, you could total use my boat for your hunt, it got a steering wheel, chairs… normal boat stuff – says Soos while pats his boat - All right all right, let’s think this through – says Stan, and everyone look at him – You kids could go and waste your time on some epic monster finding adventure, or you could spend the day learning how to tie knots and skewer worms with your great uncle Stan! – Dipper and Pacifica look at Soos, then to Stan, and finally to the island – You know Gruncle Stan – Pacifica begins to talk – Even when I would love to share the experience with you – and surrounds Dipper with her right arm – like a good sister, I must laugh at my brother when he ruins his chance to have a date! Ha ha ha – then pushes Dipper into Soos’ boat, boarding it both – I’ll be sure to share with you the details ha ha ha! I’m sure we’ll be laughing for hours ha ha ha! – and Soos makes his boat sails, leaving Stan angry on his boat – Ingrates! hm, who needs them? I got a whole box of creepy fishin’ lures to keep me company.-

While aboard Soos’ boat, Soos navigates while Dipper and Pacifica are on the prow – Why did you say that? You made me feel so embarrassed – Dipper says to Pacifica – You practically lured me to accept your crazy idea, so take that as a takeback – and kiss him on his cheek, making him blush – So what’s the plan? – she asks – Ok, if we want to have proof of the existence of that monster, we must avoid the first problem with most monster hunts – Huh, go to look for something that could kill us? – No no no no no, camera problem, or there are not enough cameras, or there is not enough film – What’s film? – I’ll explain you later, but the point is that we need to have enough cameras to secure we will take the photo of the gobblewonker – So we need to buy enough cameras? – That’s right, Soos, we need to get cameras! – and Soos gives a U-turn to the boat, returning towards the docks.

Moments later, back at the lake, Dipper, Pacifica and Soos are on the prow of the boat, with Dipper giving a paper bag to Pacifica and other to Soos, while Dipper takes a photo camera of one bag he’s holding – These are disposable cameras, Pacifica made us the favor to buy seventeen of them, I already have two on my angle, three in my jacket, four for each one of you, three extras in this bag – says aiming a paper bag in his hand – and one under my cap – say while shows the camera under it – There is no way we’re gonna miss it, ok, everybody, let’s test our cameras out – Soos tries to take a photo, but is aiming to him, he flashes himself, and throws the camera to the lake – Ahh! Dude! – I see why we need so many cameras – says Pacifica – Yeah, we still have sixteen, but try not to lose your cameras – Wait, lose the cameras? – Soos ask – Don’t! – Dipper says angry – Dude, I just threw two away – Soos says, aiming two cameras floating on the lake just behind him – Fourteen! we still have fourteen cameras! – Says hitting with his fist an ice box with a camera over it, that he broke in two – Thirteen, we still have thirteen cameras, now to our positions, Paci, you’ll be lookout, Soos can work the steering wheel, and I’ll be captain – And why do you get to be captain? – Pacifica ask him – Why can’t I be co-captain with you? I’m your other half after all – I don’t think there exist something like a co-captain – Are you sure? – ask Pacifica with a grin while throws a camera for the board, alarming Dipper – Okay fine! you can be co-captain! – Can I be associate co-captain? – Soos ask – If that means not to lose more cameras, ok, now, our #1 order of business is to lure the monster out with this – says aiming a fish food barrel on the stern – Can I taste some? – Soos ask – Uh, granted – Dipper says – Co-granted – Pacifica adds – Associated co-granted – Soos says before to grab a piece of the food, tasting it with his tongue, and immediately trying to clean the taste with his hands, making Dipper and Pacifica laugh – Dude, I don’t know what I expected that to taste like – Soos says after getting the taste out of his tongue. Not too far from there, Stan looks at them – Traitors! I’ll find my own fishin’ buddies. –

Later, Soos’ boat navigates with the lights on, through a layer of mist, Soos throws the fish food on their way, while Dipper and Pacifica tries to see something through the mist – Is pretty hard to see something, how are we even know if we’re close to the island? – Pacifica ask Dipper, when suddenly, the boat collides with a bank of sand of the beach of the island, that throws Pacifica towards Dipper, who catch her with his arms – There’s your answer – he tells her. Dipper carries her out of the boat, Pacifica stands up on the sand blushing, and Soos follows them carrying an oil lamp that gives to Dipper. With Dipper at the head, they begin to walk deeper into the small forest that covers the island; they pass in front of two wood signals, one big nailed to a tree that says “SCUTTLEBUTT ISLAND”, and a second next to it, hammer on the ground that says “BEWARE”, when they hear a growling that makes the three stop – Dude, did you guys hear that? – ask Soos – Hard not to hear it – Pacifica replies hugging Dipper. Dipper holds the lantern in front of him, but suddenly an opossum appears with a jump, grabbing the lantern from his hands, and losing in the mist – Ahh! I can’t see anything – Dipper says - Dude, I don’t know, man, maybe this isn’t worth it – Not worth it? Guys, we’re already here, having the chance of just once in life, are we gonna really give up that easily? – No, and personally, I want to taste the reward of working hard – says Pacifica – Me too – Soos follows, and the three keep walking.

Moments later, Dipper walks at the head of the group, with Pacifica grabbing his hand, and Soos in the back, beatboxing, then Pacifica turns to Soos – Soos, why are you doing those sounds? – Sorry dude, beatboxing helps me to relax when I’m nervous – then, another deep growl is heard, making a murder of crowns flies over the trees of the island – I think we’re close – Dipper says – And is that good? – Pacifica ask, Dipper continues ahead with Pacifica still holding his hand, Soos grabs a big stick of the ground, that has a sharp point, that it looks was made by an animal that was chewing it, he makes a serious face, and walks following the twins, going deeper into the mist. Finally, the three arrives at the other side of the island, where trees lack of leaves, trunks that looks as if something heavy had hit them until they broke, then the three adventurers stop, gasping at the sight of a big creature that looks as a furry plesiosaurus, floating in the water at around 20 meters in front of them, they quickly jump behind a trunk on the floor, taking out their heads, with Dipper holding one of the cameras – Everyone… get cameras ready – Dipper says, and Pacifica and Soos take out one camera each one – Ready?... GO! – Dipper says, and the three run towards the monster, taking photos with their camera; when they get closer to the shore, they see that the monster they saw is just an upside down hull of a ship, with the mast broken, making it look as the neck a head of the creature, and works now as home of a lot of beavers – I must say that after all that fear, this is relieving, and disappointing – Pacifica says – But… I don’t get it – Dipper says – What made the noise we were hearing? – they hear the growl again, and they see that a beaver is playing with a rusty chainsaw, that activated from time to time, making the sound – Sweet! Beaver with a chainsaw! – Soos says, taking it a photo – Maybe that old guy was crazy after all – Dipper says disappointed while Soos walks towards the beaver.

Dipper sits on the trunk, and Pacifica sits next to him – You were right, I ruined our chance for what would have been our first date – Wait, were you serious when you said you was gonna use the prize money to take me on a date? – and Dipper looks at her amazed - You though I was kidding? – Yeah, I though you just were trying to convince me to come with you to this crazy adventure, that’s why I was bothering you that much about that – and gives Dipper a slight push – But this resulted better, I mean, what would have we done on a date?, go to the movies?, eat at a restaurant?, pretty basic, but this journey has been terrifying, intriguing, funny… beavers – and grabs his hand – But the most important part is that we are having fun as we used to have – and downs her head – As should always be – Hey hey Paci, forget about the past – and hold Pacifica’s hands – We can’t change those events, but we’re having the chance to aim for a better future for us – Pacifica giggles, and looks at Dipper – You’re right, for a future together – They approach to kiss each other, when – Dude! – they hear Soos, and quickly separate, looking at opposite sites while blushing, Soos approaches to them but is still looking at the beaver – That little fella is pretty funny – then look at the twins – Uhh, did something happen? – Nuh-uh – Dipper says – Nothing at all – replies Pacifica, while Dipper sighs – What are we gonna say to Gruncle Stan? we ditched him over nothing – he grabs a piece of bark, throwing it at the water, when suddenly, the back of the real gobblewonker appears – Is real! – Dipper says while taking photos of the creature, while Pacifica and Soos begins to step back – Dipper, I think we should step back – Pacifica says – Why do you say that? – Dipper ask while turning to her, still holding the camera in front of his face – Because that thing is approaching – What?

The gobblewonker stretch his 7 meters tall beck out of the water, Dipper turns to it, the gobblewonker roars, Dipper drops the camera, Pacifica grabs his hand, and the three begins to run, being pursued by the gobblewonker, who despite having flippers, moves quickly on water, knocking down trees on his way, that Dipper, Pacifica and Soos avoid. Dipper takes out one of his cameras, and takes a picture, but he trips with a fallen branch, and the camera hits a rock, breaking. Soos helps Dipper to stand up quickly, and the three keep running – Don’t worry dude, I have tons of pictures of those beavers, dude – Beavers are not considered monsters, Soos! – Dipper says. The three arrive to the boat, boarding it quickly, Soos turn on the machine, going in reverse, moving away of the island, while the gobblewonker appears between the trees – This is it – Dipper says with a smile, takes out a camera, but – Cracked lens?! Soos, get a photo! – but Soos is throwing a lot of cameras in direction to the gobblewonker – What are you doing?! – ask Dipper – I still got one left, don’t worry dude, here – he throws it to Dipper, but hits on the frame of the bridge, breaking, then looks at Pacifica – Paci, where are your cameras?! – I give them to Soos! - The gobblewonker goes inside the water, following the boat, Soos goes inside the bridge, turning quickly the boat, and accelerating to escape from the monster.

On the other side of the lake, Stan is angrily trying to unknot the fishing rod’s thread, when he sees in a boat a few meters away from him, and aboard of it, a couple of kids with his grandpa – Can you please tell me more funny stories, pop-pop? – ask the smallest of the kids – Anything for my fishin’ buddies, ho ho ho ho – says the old man while pats the head of the kid, making Stan looks at them angry – Pop-pop, I just weawized that... I wuv you – AW COME ON! BOO! BOO! – Stan screams, making the three occupants of that other boat look at him – Hey there, what’s the big idea? – ask the old man – Maybe has no one who wuvs him, pop-pop – says the small one – Yeah, well I…! – says Stan, before Soos’ boat, followed by the gobblewonker, pass between both boats, creating waves that soaks them, Stan throws the tread angrily, before sitting sad.

The gobblewonker keeps following Soos’ boat around Scuttlebutt Island, when – Soos! Beavers! – Dipper says, Soos sees in front of him the false gobblewonker with the beavers, crashing against it, launching the beavers to the air, before landing inside the boat; Dipper and Pacifica try to get rid of them; when one beaver lands on Soos’ face, making him run out of the bridge, Pacifica quickly goes inside, taking the steering wheel, conducting the boat where other boats are fishing. The gobblewonker goes inside the water, Pacifica conducts the boat masterfully among the other boats, but those are flip over with the pass of the gobblewonker; the gobblewonker takes his head out of the water, hitting the upper part of the bridge with it, Pacifica, Dipper and Soos quickly duck, while the gobblewonker detach the frame of the bridge from the boat, the three stand up again, but Pacifica notice they arrive to a river with a waterfall in front of them – There is no exit! – she says; Dipper takes out the journal, passing quickly the pages, until finally stop! – Go to the falls, there should be a cave behind them! – SHOULD!? – Pacifica ask desperate. With the boat approaching to the falls, the three cover their eyes while scream, they pass through the falls, going inside a cave behind; the boat crashes against a bank of sand, throwing the three out, the gobblewonker goes inside, the three hug, but the gobblewonker gets stuck on the entrance of the cave, struggling to get free – That was close – says Pacifica – Yeah, wait, is stuck! – Dipper looks around his body, but he can’t find any camera, until Pacifica takes out his cap, revealing the one under it – Thanks Paci – Dipper says, while takes photos of the gobblewonker – Did you take a good one? – Pacifica ask happy – All of them are good ones! – Whoo-hoo! – say the twins at the same time while they hug.

Due the struggle, one big rock falls on the head of the gobblewonker, making a clank sound, and electric spark appears from its eyes, exploding, making Dipper, Pacifica and Soos look at it astonished, and the gobblewonker becames immobile while his head falls on the water – What the…? – Dipper ask, approaching to the creature – Careful Dipper – says Pacifica – I got this – Dipper tells her; he touches the head of the creature, and hits it with his knuckles, making another clanking sound, then begins to walk over the neck in direction to the body, climbing over it – Hey guys! Come check this out! – Pacifica and Soos walks carefully over the neck, approaching to Dipper, who shows them a valve and a hatch on the back of the monster.

Dipper moves the valve and opens the hatch, a lot of steam comes out of it, revealing inside of it a very sophisticated, but at the same time, rustic control panel, with ol’ McGucket at the controls – YOU! – The twins say at the same time, and McGucket turns to them startled – Aw, banjo Polish – McGucket says – You made this? Why? – Dipper ask him – Well, I… I eh… I just wanted attention – You will need to be more precise, old man – Pacifica says, crossing her arms, looking annoyed to McGucket – Well, first I just hootenannied up a bio-mechanical brain wave generator, and then I learned to operate a stick shift with my beard… – I mean about your reasons to build this thing! – Pacifica says annoyed – Well, when you get to be an old fella like me, nobody pays any attention to you anymore, my own son hasn’t visited me in months, so I figured maybe I’d catch his fancy with a 15-ton aquatic robot, haaa, in retrospect, it seems a bit contrived, you just don’t know the lengths us old-timers go through for a little quality time with our family – Dipper and Pacifica look at each other, before downing their sight, sighing – Dude, I guess the real lake monster is you two, he he – and they look at Soos – Sorry, I just, like, boom, just popped into my head here – Have you tried to talk to your son about how your felt? – Pacifica ask McGucket – No sir, I got to work straight on the robot, I made lots of robots in my day, like when my wife left me and I created a homicidal pterodactyl-tron, or when my pal Ernie didn’t come to my retirement party, and I constructed an 80-ton shame-bot that exploded the entire downtown area! HA HA HA HA HA HA… well, time to get back to work on my death ray and goes back inside the gobblewonker, making a lot of noise with different kinds of construction machines – I don’t think we should expose him, Dipper, if we do it, he could come back at us with a vengeance – Pacifica says worried – Yeah, besides, I don’t think I can submit a photo of a fake monster – Hmm, you know honey? in that case, we should use the rest of that film – What do you have in mind? –

At the sunset, Stan navigates sadly his boat to the docks, when suddenly – Hey! Over here! – He hears Dipper’s voice, he turns back, and sees Soos navigating what remains of his almost sinking boat, with Dipper and Pacifica in the parts that are almost out of the water – What the… kids? I thought you two were off playin’ spin the bottle with Soos – Stan says – We’ll do that later – Pacifica says, showing her tongue to Dipper – Well, we spent all day trying to find a legendary dinosaur – Dipper explains – But we realize the only dinosaur we want to hang out with is right here – Pacifica aims to Stan with both arms – Save your sympathy! I been having a great time without ya, makin’ friends, talkin’ to my reflection, I had a run-in with the lake police – Stan explains – So I guess there isn’t room in that boat for three more? – Dipper ask, Stan look at them suspicious, then Dipper and Pacifica take out their fishing rods – You knuckleheads ever seen me thread a hook with my eyes closed? – Stan ask humbler – Five bucks says you can’t do it – Dipper says in a sneaky way – You’re on! – Stan replies happy – I’ll add five more if you can do it while I sing incomprehensible k-pop songs at the top of my lungs – I like those odds! – Stan says very confident of himself, while the three moves to Stan’s boat, and Dipper takes out his last camera – All right, everybody get together, say “fishing” – Fishing” – say Pacifica, Stan and Soos at the same time, on the photo, Pacifica appears in the middle, with Star at her left, and Soos’ stomach at her right.

At night, back at the shack, in their room, where the wall of suitcases has disappeared, Pacifica sits happy at the edge of her bed, that has the bed sheet removed, with Dipper sitting behind her, combing her hair – Tell me, why do I have to brush your hair?, besides, you’ll have to brush it again when you wake up – Dipper ask – Because it got messed up due the situation you put us today, and if is not cleaned of knots, tomorrow will have more knots, besides my dear Dipper, you should be happy to do it, a girl doesn’t trust her hair to anyone, just to those she has total confidence, and also, when a girl allows a boy to brush her hair, she only allows it to the boy she feel is the right for her – Dipper giggles – Is that true? – Yes, it is, as hair is a very important part of her, a girl can know how a boy feels about her for how he handles it – And what my technique is telling you about me? – Mmmm, is telling me that, you are being careful to unknot it without wanting to pull it, you’re doing it slow and softly because you don’t want to break any of them – and Dipper looks amazed to Pacifica – It tells me that you are trying to be as careful as possible because you don’t want to hurt me, it tells me – and she blushes while smiles – That you, Dipper, indeed, are the perfect man for me – Dipper blushes too, keeping a big smile on his face – You should be careful with what you say, your words would make me do a madness that will make your hair mess up again – Maybe I want you do that madness (giggles), but talking seriously, I’m also telling you this so you don’t brush any other girl or woman’s hair – I don’t think I would be able to brush anyone else’s hair, I’m pretty sure I’ll not be as careful as I’m with yours – I hope so.

The two remain in silence for some seconds when Dipper stops brushing Pacifica’s hair – Ready, how do you feel it? – Pacifica brings some of her hair in front of her, and begins to caressing it – It’s perfect, Dipper, thank you – Well – Dipper stands up, leaving the brush on the night desk – I better go to my bed and call it a night – he walks towards his bed, when suddenly feels something on her hand, and sees Pacifica is holding his hand – Dipper, do you remember when we were little we shared a bed? – I remember, and also I remember that for some reason, we always woke up hugging each other – That wasn’t me, I swear, I think it was instinct, and you never complained about that – I had no reason to do it - Dipper, could we please sleep together again? we don’t need to do anything, I just want to feel you close to me again – Hm, of course – Pacifica turns to him, and kiss him on the lips – Thank you Dipper, you’re the best – She lays on the right side of the bed over her right shoulder, Dipper lite off the oil lamp, he grabs the sheet of Pacifica’s bed, and lays down face up while cover both with the sheet – Good night Paci – Pacifica gets closer to Dipper, and hugs him - Good night Dipper.-
