Backstory:

Born to Chief Aurelios and Captain Sialis, Rhysera and her siblings were born into royalty for her family were the guards to the royal family. Together they were taught by one of the royal tutors and learned how to utilize their elements from their father. Rhysera became friends with Princess Hayazeris, Sialis and Queen Aedelais would smile when they would find the young pair wearing some of the Queens royal robes, pretending to be Queens themselves. Over the years, Rhysera would gain the attention of many young males for her beautiful looks, but she sought no interest in a relationship during her school years, unlike her sister who had a few males chase after her, and she would date those that caught her, while her brother continued training under their father, becoming a talented fighter.

After graduation Rhysera watched the ceremony of her brother joining the ranks of the royal guards as the forces of Malefor continued to spread across the dragon realm, Dreadwings would fly around the eternal hurricane that guarded the city from their terror but would assault any leaving dragons, soon the guards would to be escorts for those wishing to leave. She continued her friendship with Hayazeris as she learned to become the next ruler of the kingdom, while she and her sister had plans of their own, unaware their father had other ideas for them. Aeregina thought about becoming a seamstress, despite her odd taste in males, her eye for detail was a rare gift, while she herself was unsure of what she wanted to be.

Coming of age Rhysera and her sister followed their father during a day when the Dreadwings weren’t as numerous and headed North towards the mainland of Warfang. Once they teleported to War's peak they continued Northwards before coming to the Northern Mountains, within the vast mountain chain laid a vast earth kingdom, she then realized what her father intended and she was not pleased he would not tell them he was arranging a marriage for them. Coming to the kingdom, there they met with Lord Jorovar and his eldest son Nievaus. A few days in Rhysera argued with her father for not telling them about this before yet he proclaimed it was her duty. Nievaus made an impulsive comment about how a bride should act, that made her snap at the young earth dragon and flew out into a storm. She tried to fight the gale and the pelting rain until a bolt of lightning smote her between her wings, careening from the sky she landed into the forest. Wounded, she sobbed believing she was going to die here until a black dragon emerged from the darkness. She was terrified for he was a shadow dragon, one of the enemies, but to her surprise he rescued her from a group of apes before bringing her to his hideaway. He healed her best he could while she noticed the many scars he had. He told her he was a soldier until abandoning his home for his clan leader who cared little for other lives. Saddened by his tale she wished to know more about this dark dragon. After spending several days under his care he made sure the coast was clear before sending her on her way, promising not to mention where he was located.

She returned to the kingdom by foot, nearing the entrance only to be ambushed by apes, the city guards aided her but the swarm awoke a basilisk, while the snake attacked those around it, her cry echoed far enough that her dark saviour arrived and rescued, not only her but the guards, though taking a sound beating himself, the snake fled. The guards would have killed him had she not returned the gesture in saving him. She spoke to her father and Lord Jorovar who was sorely ashamed of his son’s actions. Speaking to Rhysera they broke the arranged marriage much to her father’s disappointment. They left, taking the shadow dragon back home.

Rhysera made sure his wounds were healed. Learning his name was Lumator. She watched as he once more took up the role of a soldier. She knew she would be targeted for bringing one of his kind into their kingdom. Many tried to pin various ailments and deaths on her for bringing a harbinger of death to their kingdom, many thought about removing her until Princess Hayazeris and Queen Aedelais silenced them, making sure they were punished for uncouth actions. Over the next several years Rhysera found herself becoming a flight instructor as her sister also moved onto her own career as a seamstress, and she was falling for Lumator.

Though her father wished her to reconsider, she would ask Lumator to marry her and within a few months they were wed. Getting an invitation to Warfang to further her studies she and her new unified mate left. During her stay, she laid three eggs, one was black like her mate, another shared similar hues to herself and her father, and one was a dark blue. They were happy to have a family. For the next few months, they made new friends during their stay even some old friends from the kingdom, but the apes forces continued to be relentless and the dragon army soon found themselves spread out too thin after the years of moving out guarding the other towns, and learning that Gaul, the ape King himself was mobilizing a sizable force towards the city. Frightened that their eggs will not survive the siege Rhysera and many other mothers gathered their eggs from the temple and fled. Guards and templars escorted them out as the city was now under siege.

Weeks passed as they took refuge wherever they could to try and escape the pursuing force. Hiding wherever they could during the night while making the trip to War’s Peak. Another group that was coming in from Fire Talon caught up to them, after being chased from their village, combining their groups together, among them were a fire dragoness and an earth dragon, the leader convinced Terracon, the earth dragon and the surviving guards Lumator was a friend and ally. Already having killed dozens of apes with their own escort. Seeing they would not make it to War's Peak with the group of pregnant females and families carrying eggs, Rhysera tried her best to comfort the carrying females while Amateris healed the guards and the wounded whenever they stopped, but like her husband knew they would never reach War’s Peak like this. She watched as Terracon ordered the guards to escort them as he made a last stand, looking over she watched as Amateris handed her eggs to a friend before joining her mate, looking at Lumator he nodded. Heartbroken, she handed hers to a friend from their kingdom, telling her to follow the other female, or return home. Telling her the names she wished for her children, (blank), Cynder and Ragianis. She and her mate stood next to the doomed couple as the last line of defence. They battled the immense force of Malefor's force, giving the group time to head towards safety. Earth, fire, wind and shadow tore through the apes, they battled long and fierce but the numbers seemed endless, Terracon took a spear to the chest, many were surprised he stayed aloft, waning from their wounds the four heroic dragon used up whatever strength was left in them and combined their four fury attacks, killing off the rest of the apes and eventually themselves, no bodies fell from the sky that sad, heroic day.
