Heh, perhaps. It's an interesting one because while Sally is essentially nude (although she wears boots and gains a jacket in Season 2), she isn't flirtatious like Rouge in the show. If anything, Sonic is the flirtatious one (and Antoine to an extent) and Sally is annoyed by it. As for the relationship between Sally and Tails, Sally is a mother figure to him (and Tails calls her "Aunt Sally") - the funny kiss is just a silly thing they have, like many children have with their parents. Some of their interactions are kind of adorable.

I heard about that Sally is one of the few Sonic characters without added clothing compared to the male characters (although she broke the rules of wearing gloves it's not a big deal since she was made for a show not a game). She's basically like Fifi in some way.

I've always wondered why in most series with anthropomorphic animals when they're showing a female character she always needed clothing but the males don't... Is this a unwritten rule (as fearing to see some angry moms about perverting their precious little ones) or is it just because of the fact most of them have a curvy figure to emphasise on the fact they're female?

I totally get that, Tails' portraying in SatAM really makes him like he's 8 years old (whereas Sonic X and most of his modern iterations are showing him to be older mentally because he got a big I.Q. but you can be smart and yet be emotionally immature, maybe Sega should make a proper middle ground). I guess he's orphaned because of Robotnik's invasion so she's the closest to a mother for him (although Bonnie is also nice).

Maybe this almost makes me feel bad to see lewd stuff between them but I also blame Edtropolis to show wholesome Sally and Tails pics even if they're naked.

I still got a preference for Tails x Rouge mainly because I'm more nostalgic for the era where she's portrayed over Sally (I didn't check the series until way later).

So in short Sally is like that nice tomboyish aunt whereas Rouge is more like a busty and seductive (latina) femme fatale.
