To quote my profile description:

"	Unfortunately, I am very uncreative when it comes to creating art. I am great with things that can be measured and that are defined by numbers and logic (and I like maths), but anything that requires an artistic touch eludes my capabilities.

I like programming. It's like commanding a rock to do maths for you.
On and off I've been dabbling with computer-generated graphics. Rasterizing triangles is fun, but I love the more... "functional" approach. It's amazing how some relatively simple maths can produce complex and beautiful images. If you've ever seen Inigo Quilez' videos, you probably know what I mean.
I'm still not good at artsy things, but I can express some ideas in code. One of those ideas is my halo. I've always had a specific idea of how it illuminates its surroundings. It makes the space around it emit light. The closer, the brighter.
So I wanted to write a program that renders that. And because I like experimenting, I also added some particles with simple physics and a not so simple way of making them loop seamlessly.
This makes for a pretty neat animation, I would say. Neat enough that I wanted to share it here.

I'm on the fence about tagging myself as the artist because that implies that this is art. While I'm not too opposed to that notion, I don't want to belittle other people's works.
