TQFQ Class-sheet "cheap Whore"
Welcome to an Charsheet about the "Ranger class" in my comic The quest for quests.

The Ranger is a very specialized supporter class, wich differenciates from "marksman" and "hunter classes.
While marksman is focused on combat bowshooting. And hunter is focused on.. well hunting..
The ranger is also a bowman, and can also track animals and gather trophys from them, but neither of them as well as the other two "bow" classes. The Ranger has a higher focus on craftmanship and can also be used to build primitive huts and shelters. In comparison, is the ranger better equipped for a longer hunting session, far in the wilderness. This class is more to be seen as a scout or trapper. It also has a slightly higher focus on meele fighting. Mostly with polearms and stafs.

Therefor one can say, the Ranger manages the job, but isn't the best profession in either hunting, or shooting. The ranger is focused on survival in the wild.

In tqfq the "class" give a magical boost to learning special abilitys aswell. Madlaine will learn the mentioned professions much quicker, than for example smithing or shoemaking.
This comes also with a certain downside, of weaknesses. Those are skills who will now take much much longer to learn. Like a debuff on exp-gains. So Madlaine could leanr magic, smithing and the usage of heavy weapons, but it would be very time and effort consuming in comparison to classes with a nutral or a strenghtened relation to it.

The Disabilitys, are the real weaknesses, because these skills, or objects can cause heavy problems to the class. Maddy wearing a heavy armor, would feel so heavy in fact she couldn't move in it. And what ever she would try to brew together, even with the best recipe and a perfect execution, will fail!

I like your take on the Ranger class. Rangers normally seem to be presented as being both the ultimate archers and woodsmen, so having it be a sort of middle road, jack-of-all-trades class instead is a fun divergence, I think. Interesting, too, that magic is a weakness, as I'm used to Rangers having at least a smattering of spells to use as needed. Usually from the divine schools, at least back when I used to play AD&D. So again, nice job of making it your own!

Poor Maddy looks so much less confident with that quarterstaff in her hands, than she does in the other profession. But I'm sure she'll come into her own in time! Pity she doesn't have the pain resistance in this class, though. That would have come in quite handy with the encounter with the wolf! She still looks super cute in that outfit, though!

It's just a shame that Rangers in the universe of TQFQ don't have the animal empathy skills they do (did?) in the varied worlds of Dungeons and Dragons. That certainly would have come in handy against the wolf!

I like the idea of them being a middle road between dedicated hunters and dedicated archers. Never underestimate the middle road, especially in smaller parties like theirs. Better she should have a bit of skill in shooting and a bit of skill in woodcraft, rather than being overly specialized in a time when they might need whatever skill she's not proficient in. And polearms are a good skill to have, especially if you can't use heavier armor. Keep the enemy at arm's length and he can't hurt you!

And hey, as long as she can brew a half decent cup of coffee, her inability to brew potions won't be a problem!
