On Arnold's channel, we joked about basically continents of socks, I said that it would have sock plains, seas and swamps before making a joke about the Swamp Thing as a sock creature, and of course, Snow taking such a role. The idea was so good, it had to be drawn. Snow and I both took one of the silly ideas expressed recently to get drawn, and after accounting, here is the Sock thing. And here come a story based an another idea of mine by the plush :
This episode of Loupy & friends is called : The sock monster.
Loupy had heard rumours of socks disappearing from the laundry room at Krish's Sunnyside Daycare. The cubs generated a lot of laundry, but even with thorough searching the staff couldn't find the missing socks. The cubs also whispered of the creature that haunted that room. They spoke of strange noises but the staff said they were imagining things.
But Loupy had suspicion’s. Snow always seemed to be missing when the strange things in that room happened. He cautiously entered the laundry room, avoiding a puddle near the door, and saw what could be the wet pawprints of a little bear. Small pawprints where there shouldn't be any, cubs weren't allowed in here.
The light switch was out of reach so the wolf scanned the shadowy room. In one corner was a pile of cardboard boxes big enough to make nice little cars out of them. As would be expected another corner had laundry machines, and in another there was a huge pile of dirty clothes. Loupy followed the pawprints until they ended near the center of the room, close by was a lone sock separate from the pile of clothes. They inspected the sock closely and wrinkled their nose, "it's stinky! Perfect pizzly bait, now to use it for a trap ..."
Unfortunately for the little wolf they had their back toward the pile of clothes. Slowly, silently, something in the pile started to shift and a shape emerged. It crept forward, the socks on its diaper silencing the crinkling as it stalked the puppy that had foolishly entered its territory.
The puppy shrieked as something grabbed its ankle, pulled them down and started to drag them backward. Loupy instinctively grabbed that lone sock as they tried to scramble forward, not wanting to look back and see what kind of monster had them.
"Nooooo little puppy, you can never leave now. Must protect my precious hoard of socks ... Now you will join it and become one with the sooooocks."
The poor little pup was helpless as the unknown creature dragged them backward into the pile, the clothes tumbling down to cover any trace of their entry. Once hidden in the laundry that was its lair the creature grappled the struggling wolf, wrapping it's limbs/tentacles(?) around them.
Immobilizing them in the stinky darkness – in a manner that strangely felt like cuddles.
