Dorumon and Ryudamon were the big boys on school grounds. They were commonly known as brutish delinquents who walked the halls like they owned the place, including the lockers that connected each wall to the other.
The other Digimon in school were afraid of them. They didn’t really stand much of a chance against them because they did an excellent job at maintaining their positions as punks.
Dorumon, the purple one with his favorite baseball bat, liked to cause trouble by shuffling down the hallway and slamming his weapon against random lockers. It made really loud noises that disturbed the classes. When someone would come out to confront him on it, he’d toss his bat into some poor kid’s hand and quickly blame them for it.
It was fun watching other people get in trouble for the things he did. It allowed him to carry on doing what he wanted. That was the natural order of things after all.
Ryudamon, the gold colored one with the helmet, liked to perform wrestling moves on people out of the blue. They were often surprises.
While he loved surprises, not everyone did. Especially when it was a surprise chokehold from behind that put you to sleep. Sometimes he would even stick around far enough away to watch them wake up and run away embarrassed due to having been stripped while unconscious.
You haven’t lived until you’ve seen Veemon running down the hall with their hands covering their tighty whities in embarrassment.
They high-fived and bumped fists with each other after a fun day of messing with the student body and compared notes with wicked giggling grins on their faces. Not class notes, obviously. Prank and punishment notes.
“Was Veemon running in his underwear your doing?” Dorumon would ask, nudging his partner with his elbow.
“Sure was. He didn’t see the sleeper hold coming,” Ryudamon laughed. “I couldn’t let you show me up with that around-the-world wedgie you gave Terriermon a few hours before.”
Dorumon laughed but then caught sight of something that wasn’t anywhere near as amusing to him. He looked out the window and saw the wedgied Terriermon being let down by the newcomer to the school.
It was Loogamon.
The two bullies growled in unison when they both caught sight of him. Their little slice of paradise was being interrupted by his insistence on helping out the student body at every turn. That normally would be easy to ignore but it usually ran afoul of the two of them. Having someone like him around, unwantingly cleaning up some of their best work so shortly after they had done it wasn’t a fun thing to bear witness to.
Loogamon was quiet, kind, and helpful. He was idolized by the other Digimon in the school and it was sickening to Doru and Ryuda. Why couldn’t the other kids simply admire them for how awesome they were instead? They wouldn’t need to pull so many pranks and give out so many wedgies if they had just agreed that these were good gotchas they were pulling off instead of whining and crying about it all the time.
Deep down they probably suspected that their feelings made little sense but there was no way they were willing to admit that they were jealous.
The two of them shared a glance and then smirked.
Why would they bother putting up with being slighted like this anyway? They should just do what they always do and induct this newcomer into the school properly. Newbies were the most folks to “hang out” with usually. The fact that Loogamon had been here for so long without a proper meeting between them all was a gross oversight.
They saw it fit to correct this by doing what they always did to students they shared an interest in.
