Bidding will start $30 will get a sketch of their male character male along with Estrid as well a story featuring, around 3,000 words, written by
$60 will get your image in full color and the word count goes to 4,000. $90 will get you a second sketch with all three characters and the word count goes to 5,000. $120 will get your second image in full color and the word count goes to 6,000. $150 will option of two page comic* (instead of the two images) based on a scene from the story. Word count will goes 7,000 $180 the comic option goes to 3 pages, story word count goes to 8,000.
Bid increments $5
Auction ends Nov 30th, Friday, midnight (Pacific). Any bid made at the very last few minutes before the ending time will extend the auction by 10 minutes until there are no more bids.
*comic pages will be 4-5 panels, black & white with shading. Though color may be added if bidding goes high enough.

*grins* well, last Estrid auction, me and Seijuro split the cost of this between us and RD agreed to use both of our characters in that comic. Now there's no guarantee, but if we split the cost 40/40/40 we could get the two images, that way RD gets more money, we spend less, and each feature our characters in Estrid's back story. (Obviously with less of a main role)
This is hampered a bit by the fact that it seems RD and Jacinth seem to have something in mind already. Again, this is all at the digression of you, Seijuro, Jacinth and of course Rising Dragon.

Biggest challenge is gets harder to coordinate things when there more than personal character involved. Though we have successfully done it in the past and we have a loose story idea that could possible work with multiple characters (though not necessarily in the same scene together). Bidding would have to get to at least 120 and I would at most only be able to make one pictures have three characters in it, other remaining at two.
So I have no problem of people sharing a bid, though I would prefer if you bid here normally and come with agreement among yourselves, winner of the bid will ultimately get to have the decision of what exactly they want. (within restrictions place on the auction, and a few others)

I do not object to the idea (for the aforementioned reason) but this kind of deal implies that the winner of the auction would want to split up their role. I vote we see how it plays out first. It is entirely possible another bidder comes out of nowhere, outbids us all, and gets to decide what happens, rendering our planning moot. On the other hand, either Talon or Dragon6 could win (I might as well, but that is much more dependent on external factors) and decide that they would rather just make it a single character anyway. Again, planning is rendered moot.
So let us see where it goes, how it ends, and then we can discuss things further. RD, I appreciating you taking it upon yourself to talk with Jacinth and work this out, so we know it could be a valid option.

I completely agree. This is still a completely open bid, and is at the digression of all the parties involved. Ultimately, it's up to RD what we can and can't do. It would be profitable to have three people paying him, but a lot more work he might not be willing to do. I suggest we at least pay 50/50/50 for her trouble, maybe 60/60/60 (without the comic option)
Secondly, the CHOICE of what happens next is ultimately up to the winning bidder, currently Dragon. I wouldn't have brought this up to him if I didn't know this sorta thing works in the past. If the winner wants all the spotlight then that is perfectly reasonable cause it's there money, and they won.
I'm mearly stating a scenario where we all get a little of what we want, as long as everyone is in a complete agreement. This isn't a democracy, we all agree or it doesn't happen.
