Lucifette (Luci) the Houndoom (Covert Bodygaurd)
Asmodeus Message 1 🔊
Having a deep sense of honor that transcended the laws of Hound Code he helped Lucifette hide the remains of Kashus, this act of selflessness would seal Asmodeus in her heart forever as someone she could trust.
Years later he would eventually start an unintended feud between Syri and Luci for his hand in marriage. A feud that had he known was taking place could of stopped with a word.
The loving husband of Lucifette and father of Asmodora until his untimely demise from an unknown disease.

Asmodeus, a distinguished figure among the nobility, was among the first to arrive at the manor following the disappearance of Kashus Beelzebad. Syri had shared much of her childhood with a younger Asmodeus before her mother's passing, making his presence a comforting sight. The passing years had sculpted him into a formidable man. Despite spending considerable time working alongside him, Syri kept her true intentions hidden, concealing evidence and leading him astray. As days passed, Asmodeus teetered on the edge of abandoning the investigation, resigned to the belief that Kashus was no more. Should he depart the manor and return to his family's estate in Lavender Town, a prospect that troubled the infatuated Syri deeply.

Asmodeus harbored no suspicion toward the daughter of the Hound Lord regarding his disappearance. He had always taken her at her word, unknowingly led astray. Therefore, on the morning he prepared to depart, Syri approached him urgently at the manor's doorway, clutching a bloodied shoe. Startled, Asmodeus abandoned his belongings and demanded to know the shoe's origin, clearly belonging to a noble. As they traversed the manor grounds, Syri led him to a clearing where she claimed to have found the boot. Asmodeus observed boot prints scattered across the ground, indicating a recent scuffle, particularly evident from the muddy imprints due to the absence of rain. However, Syri's attempt to detain Asmodeus on the manor grounds proved futile. Asmodeus, chosen for this mission for a reason, keenly discerned the blood's scent, texture, taste, and distinct aroma. With each step away from the manor, the scent diminished, signaling a flaw in Syri's deception.

As he pieced together the clues, realization dawned upon him that the manor held the key to uncovering Kashus's whereabouts. Surveying the clearing, he confided to Esyridiel his decision to prolong his stay, a departure from his earlier plans. He couldn't ignore the fleeting smile that briefly graced Syri's lips before vanishing into her gaze, akin to a phantom. A shiver ran down his spine. Could Esyridiel be involved? No, she's too young to orchestrate such a scheme... Yet, she must possess some knowledge she's withholding. Instructing Syri to retreat indoors, he resolved to further investigate the scene, briefly unsettling her typically stoic demeanor. Could that momentary break in her façade hint at dissapointment?

After Syri left, Asmodeus slipped back into the manor swiftly and silently, ensuring he remained undetected. With the scent guiding him, he felt unstoppable. He navigated through the halls, down one corridor, up the stairs, around another wing, through the dining room, and across yet another hallway... until he reached his destination. Here! He halted before a small room in the Servant's wing. This room held the answers he sought. As he opened the door and stepped inside Syri rounded the corner and saw him enter Lucifette's chamber and fear for losing Asmodeus turned into absolute dread...

As Asmodeus stepped into the room, a young Lucifette ceased her sewing, her eyes widening in surprise. For a brief moment, he observed her muscles tense, her eyes narrowing slightly, and her hair bristling in response to his presence. However, as the light from her small bedside lamp illuminated his figure, she recognized that he was not Kashus returned from the grave, and she relaxed, lowering her arms. Gazing at the man standing five feet away from her, she scowled and exclaimed, "Do you always barge into a lady's room without knocking? You nearly frightened me half to death!" Asmodeus, momentarily taken aback by the unexpected encounter with a woman in the vicinity where he could detect the scent of the Hound Lord's blood, quickly composed himself. Just then, Syri entered the doorway, her silhouette visible against the darkness. Lucifette turned to address her, "Little Miss, what brings you to the Servant's Wing?" As Asmodeus turned to face Syri, he noted her presence with indifference, knowing it held no consequence.

"Esyridiel!" thundered Asmodeus. Syri had never heard such authority in Asmodeus's voice before, causing her to tense up, her grip tightening on the doorknob as she swiftly turned to face the man before her. "This woman knows where your father is!" Esyridiel's eyes widened in realization as she comprehended Asmodeus's words, while Luci's gaze swiftly shifted back to the imposing figure of the green-haired Hound. Sensing the urgency of the situation, Syri slammed the door shut and positioned herself in front of it, arms outstretched. "No! No, I killed him!" Esyridiel exclaimed in a panic. Asmodeus's jaw dropped in astonishment as he turned to confront the small girl behind him. "Syri, NO!" Lucifette shouted, leaping out of her chair and swiftly maneuvering under Asmodeus's frame. She grabbed Syri, covering her mouth to prevent further outbursts. Despite her fear, Luci was resolute—she would not let Syri shoulder the blame, nor would she allow another girl to be destroyed by that devil. "I did this, Syri! You did nothing," she declared firmly as Syri struggled against Luci's grasp. Asmodeus now starting to get a grasp of the situation boomed with authority in his voice. "Maid, explain yourself!" Lucifette spun around with a swiftness that astonished the noble, her four sharp claws poised at his neck, while a fifth pressed against his throat. With the authority of a heavenly judge, Lucifette thundered, "You will hear my story, Greenhair, and ensure that Esyridiel bears no blame for any of it!"

Asmodeus stood there, utterly stunned by the revelations unfolding before him. As Esyridiel knelt, sobbing into her arms, Lucifette proceeded to divulge the intricate web of deceit that enshrouded the household to the mesmerized detective. With a keen eye, Asmodeus scrutinized every movement, every gesture, every subtle nuance of Lucifette's body language—skills he had never before thought to employ on Esyridiel. It became evident to him that she spoke the truth, unreservedly laying bare the reality of their circumstances. Overwhelmed by a surge of anger at being deceived for so long, at being unwittingly manipulated, Asmodeus sank into the chair Lucifette had vacated only moments before, his head buried in his hands. Yet, as he looked up to express his frustrations, he noticed that the red-haired maid paid him no heed. Instead, she cradled Syri tenderly, comforting her as she wept, tears silently streaming down her own cheeks. "P-Please Luci don't leave me a-alone!" Esyridiel choked out as she wailed into Luci's arms. Lucifette held tighter at those words but couldn't manage to produce words for herself. "You d-didn't deserve any o-of this either! He was going to-" Syri couldn't finish her sentence as she cried. "Syri, I must honor what is right. I will not let you die for me".

Confronted by the profound display of compassion before him, Asmodeus's rage gradually subsided, replaced by a sense of resignation. As he arose from the chair Lucifette raised her gaze to meet his, "Please, punish only me... He would of desecrated her soon after he was through with me - she doesn't deserve -". Asmodeus stopped her pleads and crouched down next to the weeping duo. "There is no honor in condemning a victim to death for the murder of her assailant" Asmodeus said with compassion. As Lucifette gazed at him, she felt a warm wetness trickling down her face. Raising a trembling hand, she touched her cheeks, realizing tears were flowing freely from her eyes. Overwhelmed by emotion, Lucifette began to sob, the weight of finally acknowledged abuse weighing heavily upon her. In this moment of vulnerability, Syri wrapped her arms around Lucifette, offering comfort and solace in a way that no one else ever had.
