50/50 did went straight for kills to people who are more used to brawls or weren't ready to make the kill cause they never did it before.
While they might not do well in a straight up fight they can attack his weak spots and keep him off tilter or just wait for him to turn his back and bash his head in. No matter how strong you are a well place blow to the skull or balls and you go down. And that's not counting a note sneaky way to get back at him.

This comic has been a delight thus far! You have an excellent sense of panel layout and expressions for characters, which is a skillset all by itself! Sadly, this sort of "good ending" by virtue of a deus ex machina in the form of Rin completely undermines the serious tone of the abuser scenario which you have, up until this point, portrayed with a brutal sense of realism I appreciated immensely. It is too drastic of a tone shift for me to remain as invested as I previously was.

Thanks! I realize my storytelling may not be everyone's cup of tea, and having Rin exist in an otherwise 'realistic' scenario doesn't seem fair, but there IS a reason for it all. I still gave Lena her heroic moment to stand up to her abuser, and ultimately it was her action that made him leave: The realization that after this, he could no longer bully her even if Rin wasn't around.
If that's not enough, well... all I can say without spoiling stuff, is that a keen eye for detail may keep you invested in future comics, if you choose to be~ :3

I still enjoy the way you told the story, mind you! You know how to write characters in a way that makes them feel like people, which is why I have followed the comic to begin with! Other people's reactions to the matter have likewise been very interesting to me, hah! And I much appreciate Lena taking the stance instead of merely cowering behind the saviour, yes. Thinking about it again, it matters little if the saviour is a mighty red Panda or an officer called to point his gun at him; whether Tobias got the message or not, it certainly is an important step to finally move out of the shadow he cast on her.
