Nicole B'geers AKA Nikki, a fennec fox character of mine, heading out for a night on the town.  I drew this one of her years ago, before I switched to coloring all of my art on the computer instead of just the backgrounds.  It also shows my so far only attempt at highlighting leather clothing.

As a side note, I always thought of Nikki as having the thick tones of a dark-skinned human's voice.  I generally don't match fur colors to human skin tones so a light-furred character would have the voice analogous to that of a dark-skinned African while my mostly black-furred skunk character would have a Caucasian accent.

Cute. :) Reminds me a bit of Tavie from the Gene Catlow comic, and funnily, I've had a similar interpretation of her. :)

That's an interesting thought, although I admit I wasn't thinking of Tavie when I drew her way back when.  Nikki was a lawyer who liked to unwind on Friday evenings by hitting the town, so she wasn't quite the straight-laced politician Tavie was back then.  I did once have an idea of putting Nikki in a poster as the lead in a B movie with some nose monsters (complete with obvious strings they were dangling from) from out of the closet, but that kind of fizzled. :(

You gotta admit the similarity, though. :)
