In a rather swampy marsh region of my land there are a variety of kappa that are quite peculiar, they sit and squawk pretending they are ducks in the high reeds. Until a fisherman or some fool trying to cross it comes by, despite being only 2 feet in height, where the vegetation can reach much taller out the water, they usually ambush whomever and steal the valuables, maybe something shiny or tasty then diving away into the waters. It is quite amusing unless a pack of them are sitting around. They are rather dull minded compared to much other kappa, even stated being nothing more than a monkey to a human. Which is odd considering my land has a habit of age and learning makes one on a sentient level of or greater than a humans.
