actualy it's never mentioned anywhere in the sonic world that shadow isn't related to sonic in some way, in fact if anything it's always put across how "similar" they are. he was made using black dooms blood, correct, but how did gerald get the genetic makeup for shadow the be a mobian? or even be so similar to sonic xD thinking about all the plotholes in the series to do with stuff missing about shadows past and geralds research into making shadow and it seems very likley that shadows DNA is based of sonic.

yes that is all very much true. but think on this; if it were true in someway somehow really; if he was related to Sonic; but he was created 50 years ago...way before Sonic was born. Unless taken from his ancestors blood from 50 years ago; then I wouldn't really expect Shadow to be any much related to Sonic; and it's just coincidental. Though I'm aware that he had to have mobian blood because he's a hedgehog; and of course a females egg to help out the process; I'd highly doubt he took one of Sonic's great great great grandmother's eggs and the blood of his grandfather to make up Shadow the hedgehog with the mix of Black Doom's blood....though that would make a great story. Someone write this shit xD lol; this would make a great fan fiction lol.

i'm not sure if you remember but in sonic X it is stated that in sonics world they age slower than in the real world, so sonic would most definatly be alive before shadow, this is a point a lot of people try to make, if i knew the exact time scale that people age in sonics world i could probably work it out.
also we have never met a hedgehog character in sonics world beside amy, (silver is shadows son i beleve) so how do we know how similar they look? do people mistake amy for sonic? no of course not, so why shadow with sonic? it's obvious the colour differences, i think sega was probably going to make a story onto why they looked so similar but it was dropped as they didn't want to make a show aimed at kids too complex.

Even if they do age per say slower then most people; I don't or highly doubt to really believe they age THAT slow to where it was 50 years ago...It's possible but I don't think it's probable.
And are you kiddin? She mistakes silver as Sonic too. So it's not just Shadow. Have you forgotten Sonic 06? She run up behind Silver and thought he was Sonic. She seems to really mistake any hedgehog as Sonic. And Silver looks nothing like Sonic. So I really see no indication that just because she recognizes Shadow as Sonic doesn't really mean much considering she'd do the same thing if she meet another hedgehog.
And of course not...we don't see other hedgehogs cause Sega thought of no one but the three or rather four counting Amy; other hedgehogs. Or at least not yet. For all we know in the near future Sega could easily make a hedgehog whose in very much similar to Sonic. And Sonic is not the only one to go super; or use Chaos Control. Silver can do it too. Though supposedly Shadow's son; even though it was in another world; which is a different dimension so it doesn't really mean it happens in Sonic's world. Notice how almost ALL the boys in Sonic Universe can go super....I bet they'd make tails go super if he wasn't small. And of course he has his speed; look what he's doing? His shows have rockets at the bottom and he runs as if he was skating. And I don't remember him ever running without his shoes off....as far as I know at least....Sonic actually runs run; Shadow skates along side him and actually in Sonic Wiki; one of Black Dooms skills is Chaos Control he can use it; he just doesn't use it in the game. But he is capable of using it. He does use Chaos Powers; and so that means he too could go super...that's probably one of the reasons he wanted the chaos emeralds to go super himself to add the power to himself and take over the planet. So it's not just if you're right or not; Sonic who uses Chaos powers...
we can easily go back and forth on this. And for me I just don't find it 100% possible unless released by Sega giving a back story. Until then; I'm still on the skeptic side.....

I think that his father BLACK DOOM helped out with the design.. he can teleport worlds and he might took Inspiration. also they have that same black red color.
and if you seen that black doom can change form into that star looking alien.. so if he can change forms he maybe can change into other things.. maybe all the fan arts about him being a hedgehog is not so fake after all 8D just kidding.. but if to think about it..

black dooms eye is used as a video recorder pretty much, he isn't actualy black doom, it's a seperate entity from him, black doom obviously controls him like he tries to control shadow at the end of the game "with his blood"
and his grandfather is an exceptional human being, but he is a normal human as stated in a lot of the sonic games, it's also mentioned that the reason he made that contract with black doom was to number 1: help cure marias desease. and number 2: create a being that could also stop the black aliens *aka shadow* in terms of biology he is just a human, just a smart one thats all.
and IQ makes almost everything possible in the real world too, pretty sure there are people who build robots out there.
