The stallion used to be soldier before the outbreak happened. He took whatever he can salvage for a benefit to defend himself on the streets of this chaos where nobody knows what happened, and why. Was it a war they missed, or an invasion? Was it an epidemic? Nobody knows. Not even this Hyena girl that he found out to be an escaped convict who found her way off through the breaches of the prison she was kept there.
Both of them hate one another, but somehow they got to stick together if they are to survive. One day this hyena girl got shot in the shoulder severely and the soldier took care of her as best as he could to temporarily get her in cover, instructing her to keep the wound sealed with her paw while he would take out the sniper from the other building.
The weapon he is carrying and with two tubes trailing back to the backpack he is equipped with seems to be either too modern to be a standard military rifle, or just one with an alien origin which is most likely to be the reason to its unfamiliar look. All he could figure out that this rifle operates with Helium, so he salvaged some of those cans he could get from an abandoned store, and attach it through some workaround sealing.
